Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

So much great advice already given. Nothing to add but to say - have fun! Spinning is and can be a very rewarding workout if done properly.

^^ This.. I just had one yanked 4 days ago - which is VERY different than all 4 at once. That being said - applesauce, mushy oatmeal, homemade smoothies (healthy ones for protein, etc...), soup. Nothing too hot or too cold. Good luck, I can't imagine having all 4 done at once. I know what 1 has done to me. The worst part…

I houseclean my friends list on a regular basis. People who do not interact with me after a month or two are deleted. People who insist on things being "their way or else" - gone. I have also gotten to the point where I am deleting friends who are seemingly on here for whatever reason - but who show little to no interest…

5'6" - about 1750 calories per day. I don't intentionally eat my exercise calories back, but it's nice to know I have them in reserve for the stuff I enjoy from time to time over the course of a week.

Great story! I have shared my success with what I've learned here and what I did that has worked for me, but none have even tried using MFP as a tool as a result. Like many, they come up with excuses as to why it wouldn't work for them or how they couldn't do it. But then again, there are some friends on my friend list…

I don't have premium - doesn't work for me.

Its a current MFP issue shared by many. App and desktop.

Seriously.... it's fine when it works, terribly frustrating when it doesn't. I'm not a paying member so I get what I get. If I paid for this?? I'd be out of my mind mad...

I spin 2-3 times per week on a Spinner NXT at home. Amazing workout if you choose to take it that far. As already suggested, Studio Sweat is the best online workout in my view. I also have 4 Spinning DVD's that were sent to me when I purchased my bike from Spinning.com Many people seem to dislike them and find them boring.…

Sounds like a form issue to me as well.

It's okay to grieve.. for a short period of time. Work is a big part of life and losing anything will recover some time to heal. I've been there a couple times and I'd be willing to be there are more to come seeing I have at least 20 more years left to work. Hate to say it, but almost used to it. Like has been stated -…

Depends on your goals and what you want from it. If you only want to track steps - stick with the zip. Worth it? Depends on your definition of worth it. I lost my zip a year ago and had no intentions on replacing it until I got one for free a couple months ago and used it for a corporate work challenge. If you want to do…

Sorry.. I neglected to process the "and" part of your question. Unable to voice an opinion.

Currently doing H&C.

How much depends on your ambitions and goals. I think you need to discover what you really like versus what you don't. My preference is finding a good balance between cardio and strength training. Plenty of things to do at home with what you have - cardio and resistance training. Treadmill intervals are fine - especially…

What type of activities do you enjoy? I workout at home and over time have added items to my space that go along with interests that include various forms of cardio and strength training. It can cost little (body weight exercises) or it can cost as much as you want it to (gear - sky's the limit). Clarify your interests and…

I'd suggest looking at the variety of options for free on Fitness Blender.com It allows you to enter criteria for workout intensity and equipment.

I also love Spinning which I do 3-4x per week. It's all about personal input and the program which can dictate intensity. I generally give it my all when I do it so one - 60 minute session pretty much wipes me out. I've only done back-to-back once. Let's just say I wouldn't make it a habit of doing it that way. My tank is…

I'm on Day 5... am loving every minute of it. It helps if you can find the humor in Sagi. I've read many get annoyed by him. I did at first, now I find him funny. A total "kick in the behind" program which I can envision repeating after the first 60 days is over. Good luck!

You are the director of your own movie. I've had spurts like this as well.. Many of us probably have. The good thing is you recognize it. Now substitute nutritious lower cal / more filling food for the bad stuff... Ever try a homemade protein shake? Will fill you up and not too bad in cals if done appropriately.

I can't offer a comparison, but today is Day 1 of Hammer and Chisel for me. The other piece of equipment besides a bench (or stability ball) is a chin up/pull up bar or resistance bands for the door. My space is in the basement so I went with the bar. Been previewing the DVD's, looks like it's going to be a good challenge.…

Absolutely 100%.. vax. non-negotiable in my eyes.

So true. Excuses are easy, the work is hard. The hardest work of all comes from within. It's not even the hungry feeling, the being sore from exercising. It's the desire - deep, deep down - desire to want to succeed. Everyone who has made the positive change happen, has done it on their own. All the tools are in front of…

Sorry.. my response neglected to answer your questions. As far as the floating rib discomfort, I'm not aware of what that is so I'm not in a position to comment. Other than to say, ensure you are keeping check on form. Does it seem to bother you when you are rowing or after? If during.. which movement bothers it most?…

Everything needed to be said is here ^^^ I've been rowing for almost 2 years, just passed 3 million meters in total. A great starting point: http://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/training

Spinning class? Treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine are all "individual" activities. Spinning, with a good instructor (and good class) has the group feeling and can be fun. Just an idea. Or - how about getting a bike and hitting a local trail, etc...
