  • Good for you!!!! Welcome...this is a great site to get encouragement and ideas. But you do have to log your food honestly and try to get some exercise in...You will be so happy with yourself if you start watching your weight before you get to college. Way to go!

  • Yep, I am right there with you. I lose one week and maintain the next week. Oh, well! I am still working at it though. Maybe I'll hit 5 lbs by the 31st...5 lbs in a month isn't too bad! Let's keep at it!
  • Just did my day three of the week sets...I skipped the weekend one, so I am behind a day...but I am still going. I am on wk 4 for the situps and squats and week 3 for the push ups... sit ups: 45 50 45 45 70 = 255 squats: 40 45 40 40 60 = 225 push ups: 16 21 15 15 25 = 92
  • Maintained this week...ugh, but it's a new week...Here's to better eating and doing the exercise..

  • Congrad's on your hard work! I am just 20 days in and have lost 4 lbs...slow but steady it is working for me, too! But this way I know it is not just a quick fix that can be gained back quickly, I am actually changing the way I think about food and portions...anyway. Way to go! Good luck on your last 5 lbs!!

  • Its fun to see how much I've improved in just two weeks. I am on my third week of the challenges now... (wk 4 col 3) Situps 32 38 32 32 55 (wk 4 col 3) squats 29 34 29 29 50 (wk 3 col 2) push ups 12 17 13 13 20 pilates flexibility 10 minutes
  • WOW!!! All your hard work is paying off quickly! What a great thing! AND you stopped smoking and drinking, whew, what an added bonus to this whole journey of getting ourselves back to healthy bodies. Keep it up. And yes, I hope other "newbies" read this...it is great motivation!

  • Yippeee...i have lost 4 pounds since starting on this website on Feb 27th....It is slow going, but at least it is going in the right direction! Current weight is 154.2 Goal by May 1st is 147
  • Good for you Michelle...I have done that at the end of many a day...I see my calorie count go up, so I do the treadmill for an extra 15 mins or more...
  • Thanks...I am finished with the exercise for the day...I feel much better now then I did yesterday! I have been running now for 11 weeks. I can't wait until my body produces the lower numbers though. It's slow going...

  • Ugh, Saturdays are always horrible for me...oh, well!! I have a 3.5 run today to stay on my 10K program...and I did my push up, sit up and squat challenge program already...hopefully tomorrow's number on the scale will be better...

Just keep reminding yourself, as I do EVERYDAY ;-) that we are here to get healthier and the scale may or maynot tell us the whole story for awhile.   • I'm on my 2nd week of my 10 K training, and the 200 situp, 100 pushup, 200 squat challenge...hopefully this week I'll see some better results.

  • Good for you! I am just starting this lovely adventure, and have to keep telling myself, that if I have done my exercise, eaten somewhat well that day, but the scale doesn't reflect it, I am STILL getting myself healthy!!
