Raven, I have a peloton and it is absolutely incredible. The Peloton community is also incredible. It's a "tight knit" community of thousands upon thousands of people all connected by this one (very expensive) device. The workouts are addictive. The machine is addictive. The following is cult-like. If you're really…

Fantastic work! You look wonderful.

Feel free to add me! I just turned 40. My diary is open to friends and I log it all. The good, the bad and the ugly. I have lost 33 lbs since joining mfp and didn't give up chocolate or cookies. I just watch the daily totals and try my best to stay in range.

You look GREAT. Well done!!

Great all over results! Look at the angle from the bottom of your neck to the tip of your shoulders. What a difference.

Great job. That right there is serious dedication. Are you sure you've got 60 to go?

I really do understand the problem of your brain and eyes lagging behind. I don't really understand why it happens but it happened to me, too. I finally saw it at my halfway point and I was really happy for awhile, but my new problem is getting down to 10 lbs away from goal and being convinced that there is no way that…

I just got mine this past weekend and I absolutely love it!

These are all great!! For me, it's showering. Lathering up less surface area is really weird at first and drying off and realizing you're not utilizing the whole towel anymore is also strange in a wonderful way!

This makes total sense. Thank you for your reply!

I agree that working out can earn you some extra calories and I also agree that if you go over today, then that's okay too. If you learn to associate this lifestyle change with constant hunger then you won't succeed in the end but to answer your question about 300 calories, you can make a huge salad with 3 or 4 oz of…

I don't know how to add but anyone is welcome to add me. I'm a new fitbit user. //www.fitbit.com/user/33GKJ5

I quit last March and I gained about 15 pounds in a 5 month period. I was one of the unlucky ones that got insatiable hunger as a result of quitting. Smoking speeds you up because it's a stimulant which can have a mild appetite suppressant quality. I never realized that was the case until I quit. I was starving an hour…

Hi! Not everyone here does that, however that is definitely the idea behind how MFP works. The deficit required to lose weight is already calculated based on the activity level and weight loss goal that you chose when you signed up. Exercise calories are considered earned calories that you get to eat. Many people aren't…

Good for you. I just love how even 30 pounds can make such a difference. Your jaw line looks fantastic! It's the first thing I noticed but also can see a big difference in your torso. Great job!

Fabulous! I especially like the picture in the jeans. You're a hot mama now!

Very noticeable results. Great job!

Being able to look decent at work was my #1 motivator as I outgrew all my clothes and refused to buy bigger clothes, so I ended up wearing stuff that was way too tight and unflattering or older things I had that were bigger but very dumpy. Along the way, I've gained energy and feel loads better which is just awesome but…

Great information. It's so true that the body holds more water when you're intake is not adequate. It will release once it "realizes" that you will be giving it more on a regular basis. This is my biggest struggle. Thanks for the reminder!

Outstanding!! My jaw dropped as I scrolled down the page to your after pics. Well done!!!

When I think of skinny fat, you're not it. You look lean- not skinny.

Way to go! You look outstanding! What a transformation.

Thank you all so much for the encouragement! I am basically just walking on a treadmill at 4 mph and shadow box with light dumbells. I ate 1200 the first two months plus all or most of my exercise calories. I recently increased to 1400-1500 plus exercise calories and so far so good. Weight loss has slowed from 2 lb per…

Hi PugBug. The same thing happened to me when I lost weight the first time in my life. I was in my mid-twenties at the time. I still had 20 lbs to lose at the time that I stopped having a period. I understand that you're tripped up by the fact that your not underweight. You'll have to wait and see what your gynecologist…

Who looks at other people's plates and comments on what's left (or not left)? Do people really do this? Especially to a guest? Do what you know is right for your body and don't worry. Like someone else said, I'm sure they'll be trying to impress you too! Maybe you can take small portions (or a sliver of pie, claiming…

I cut my kneecap while shaving this morning. I haven't done that in YEARS. I realized it happened because my knees are bonier and have more angles than they used to! I had to laugh at that.

Quitting smoking is what kicked off my weight loss journey too. It's the perfect time to test out your new found lung capacity. Contrats and good luck!

I did 1200 for the first 6 weeks and it was doable but difficult. I was very hungry those first few weeks but I did learn a lot about how to get the most food for your caloric budget. I did have some pretty good looking meals and stayed under, but it was not easy and non sustainable. I increased to 1400 and those extra 200…

You look amazing! That's got to be the leanest 170 I've ever seen. How tall are you?

I anticipate a 6-9 pound loss by Jan 1. There is no way I am going to get derailed just because it's the holiday season!
