I log everything, not matter what. I don't have what I would call "cheat days". They may just spontaneously happen, but since I log everything every day, I can compensate where needed (providing my hubby doesn't want to go out to dinner... again... ) :blushing: I will admit, however, that sometimes on those days where I'm…

I'm envious of you! Great progress!!!! Can't wait till I can say the same. No doubt, exercise is helping wiht your tape measure NSV! Great work! :flowerforyou:

Yes, yes, yes! I'd didn't realize how I looked until one day my hubby took a picture of me in one of my new dresses to send to my mom.... I thought, it can't be me... how'd I get to look like that??!!! (although I know what happened, marriage and a husband that kept brining home cookies and ice cream when he shopped and I…

Hi everyone! I'm probaby around 5'1" or 5'2". Another shortie in the world and I'd love to join you! Some days are better than others, but lately I seem to not be able to keep my calorie under my goal. Of course, my hubby doesn't help :grumble: any and there are days when I just flat out don't feel like doing any…

Absolutely prefer to work out alone! I remember when I was younger I use to love to ride my bike along the lakefront (alone) and my counsin wanted to join me one weekend. I had to figure our a way to tell her no; wasn't easy, but that's my time. Also when at gym on treadmill or elliptical, like to have my headphones in and…

I am sooo happy to hear that you decided a 500 calorie diet was NOT a good thing! Puts you into starvation mode. Who would have ever thought that increasing your calories could cause you to lose weight! What a concept! It's a hard habit to break, but you'll feel so much better now that you're eating more! Trust me... I've…

Glad you're here!

Amazing what strength training can do! I've been slacking on that since I started this journey with MFP, but today at the gym, I did some and it felt oh so great! I know the results are real, because I've experienced them too., Good job! I hope I have as much progress as you in three months,

Neti Pot... Not... .NeilMed's Sinus Rinse bottle, yep. Anyway, I swear by these things, especially because I have bad allergies and when all the stuff is floating in the air, it's great to rinse it all out. Until you get use to it, it's kind of weird to use. Everyone I know that uses some sort of nasal rinse agrees that…

I haven't given it much thought yet, but I guess now is a good time to start thinking about it..... I'll check back in when I have some thoughts! Have a great day everyone ~ Ali

Guess it's time I get my act together and start working on putting a playlist together; however getting an MP3 or something like that might be a good idea! Thanks for sharing yours!

I totally agree... she does talk to much... I wish she would stop, but I guess that's part of the "motivation"!

Good morning all! I'll try to check in daily, too; however, it may not be in the morning as I'm usually rush, rush, rushing out the door. Pedmon -- do take it easy on the foot. I know it can be painful; I've had several challenges with my feet over the last several years and it's put me out of commission more than once..

Discovered that our cable TV on demand has fitness TV (who would have ever thought????!!) and I found the Start Walking 3 mile, which I just did. This will work until I get one of her DVDs. I was quite surprised that I actually liked it because I never thought I'd be much of one to do exercise to a video, but rather only…

I don't have any of the DVD's but discovered that the cable on demand has Start Walking 3 mile. I just did it. Amazing workout!

Welcome aboard! This is a great place to meet friends and get motivation! You only need a little dedication and you'll see progress toward your goal without realizing it. The -45 on protein just means that you've consumed more proteins that you have alotted for the day based on the goals that you've set for yourself. I'm…

When you log your exercise, you can manually change both the minutes and calorie burn to match what your HRM clocks. You can add an exercise to the database by not entering anything in the search box, but click search and it will take you to the page where you can add an exercise. I did that for one combination that I…

Looking forward to seeing some really good suggestions for when we're not OFF anymore!

So much of what everyone has said is very true. I have the old tapes in my head all the time, even when I was at the weight I felt best I was constantly criticizing myself. My dad use to always tell me I needed to lose weight.... always the very first thing out of his mouth whenever I saw him... didn't do much for my self…

Don't have an elliptical at home (have treadmill), but my favorite machine at the gym is the elliptical. Every gym I go to has a different model and they all give me a different burn. (I hit about 6 different gyms in the area). Most of the time I'm on it doing a quick 30 minute cardio at lunch... better than nothing....…

It is tough to motivate when you've been on hiatus for a while. I had a tough time motivating when I started MFP a few months ago, but as I started logging an interacting with others, the motivation just came. I, too, often tell myself just 10 or 15 minutes if I really don't want to work out; then if I still want to stop,…

I, too, didn't realize you could change these settings, but I really only look at calories and occassionally glance at the others. Maybe I should start paying more attention to all of them!

Welcome aboard and we're so glad you're here. You'll find amazing support and lots of new friends! :flowerforyou:

If I can find the CD someplace today, then I'm IN... headed out now to search for it!

Hemp is good.. You can also get it at Sally Beauty Supply (if you have one in your area) and it's less expensive there. I've been using it for years. However, at night I use Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E Skin Care Cream, particularly on my hands/arms and feet/legs also use it during the day on hands/arms. It's inexpensive,…
