  • I so could have written this intro... I started with MFP several years ago and quite frankly the need to 'cheerlead' everyday was so addicting that I had to stop using the site. It became like Facebook for me (which I also had to give up). That being said, everyone please feel free to friend me and I promise to glance…
  • I am also in the need to lose 100 lbs group. My first goal is to lose 30 by the time my husbeast gets back from Afghanistan around New Years. I would love any support that is out there! Feel free to add me!
  • I did so well the last time I was here (about 14 months ago) then fell off the good food wagon for a number of not very good reasons. But now I am back! My husband left yesterday for Afghanistan and I really want to be more fit when he returns in the fall. I am looking for encouragement and support and will be happy to…
  • Sent you a PM about this. Nharah

  • Are you tracking your sodium? Could you be retaining water? I agree on the not enough protein part as well.
  • What is the sodium count on one of these?
  • I got the distances from a website called the Eowyn Challenge. It lists dates and distances for all the major legs in both the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. http://home.insightbb.com/~eowynchallenge/Walk/walk.html I am finding it very motivating!

  • Hey there! I took a peek at your food diary and noticed that you have quite a few days where you are under your calories by 800-1000. It seems weird, but you HAVE to eat properly in order for your body to be willing to release that fat. Track your sodium as well... Too much sodium makes your body hold onto water.
  • Are you tracking your sodium and drinking all of your water?
  • Because of my early training with my mother, I tend to approach people full front before speaking and rarely touch people without asking first. I also tend to verbalize location in two dimensions such as " 6 feet straight ahead and 2 foot down". This quirk baffles people at times.
  • Thank you for these tips. My mother has been blind in one eye since early childhood. Her optic nerve was cut by broken glass at the age of 3. The sight in her other eye is good enough that she entered the military, worked as a army nurse, became a expert shot with rifle and pistol and has driven for 45 years. in fact, she…

  • Don't eat cherries while reading these either. I now have to explain the reddish smear and dent in the drywall to the husband when he gets home.
  • So.. what size sweater do you need? I am already happily married.. but might be able to come up with the sweater... just for the joy and smiles that you lavish on all of us.
  • As a fair skinned redhead, I can say that YES, the water retention from a bad sunburn can be quite high. A sunburn is after all a BURN and burns swell and are all puffy and soggy while they are healing. Lots and Lots of water both in and out but you will probably keep some water weight until the burn is completely healed.
  • Just as an FYI. We paid for all the clothes for our attendents at our wedding. It never occured to us to ask anyone to pay for the clothes that we wanted them in. Different areas have differing customs when it comes to that sort of thing so there is no "right" or "wrong". Do what you need to do to have as stress-free a…
  • I am a coffee fiend. Because of my coffee habit and those of my husband and brother, we bought a 42-cup urn coffee pot. It is always going. But.. since all of us are trying to get healthier... we have made a rule that since you have to pass the treadmill on your way to the coffeepot, you must pay a toll of a minimum of 1/8…
  • Looking at a few days in your food diary, it looks like you are not eating back your exercise calories, and you are working out HARD.

  • Facebook Do I really need to know every time your baby has a bowel movement or you brush your teeth? No.. I would be interested if you called me to tell me that little Jimmy is potty trained or you got your braces off. The funny part is that I am doing my doctoral dissertation on Social Media and it's impact on business.

  • Ok.. so for a week you have been logging your diet. This is an excellent start. Now you have a baseline to work with. Make sure you are drinking your water and look at portion control. Do you need 2 whatevers to ease your craving? or would one and a glass of water do? Baby steps and everyday is a fresh start on a new…

  • All ready on your list... but... hmmm lets see.. There has been Shadowbane, WoW, EvE, WarhammerOnline, Aion, Darkfall, Rift.... I am sure there have been others along the way... Currently playing EvE and have just given up Darkfall and Rift.
