Level 2 is much harder for your abs and I moved onto it after only about 3days on level 1. Perhaps you just need to move up a level? I currently do level 2 or 3 depending on how I'm feeling. I started on Christmas Day so I guess I have technically completed it. I haven't lost much weight as I don't have much to lose but I…

My goals are as follows: 1. Complete 30 day shred, and workout 6 days a week, twice at gym 2. Start a weight training program 3. Eat more protein, probably going to use pea protein

Portion control for food is a good start. A good rule to follow is to have half your plate as vegetables. It means I have less room for carbs but still eat a big plate of food. Good luck, and it's still early days, I bet you're not getting a full nights sleep yet. Make sure you take recovery days :)

I am using the iPhone app whilst I wait for the force to be available in the UK. It is meant to be on sale later this month. I have linked my accounts and like how it tracks my steps and general activity level, not simply the exercise I put in on mfp.

I have just started to do that as well. I have read about health benefits from short term fasting giving your body time to heal rather than digesting food. I read about a study reported on th BBC news. It was referring to the 5:2 diet but I couldn't do that. However I have found not snacking after dinner and skipping…

I have booked in for a trainer to set me up with a weights program. I tried it before after reading nrwlfw but I found it difficult to just read the technique without being shown. I had a blip with an operation on my arm in the summer so am hoping I'll be able to lift as I know I need to get strong. I was previously…

I started on Christmas Day and forgot to take before pictures. I only did workout 1 for a few days as it felt too easy and I got bored. Before New Year I was doing workout 2 and now I mainly do 2 one night and 3 the next. I have had a couple of rest days but will try to rest at least once a week thanks to the info provided…

You look amazing, well done

You look amazing! Well done

I am trying to stick to 1200 calories. I was doing well before Christmas and need to get back on track now. It is so nice to see a group for shorties. I am 5'2'' and about 120lbs, people often assume at that weight I don't have anything to lose. I am currently doing the 30 day shred and trying to become strong and have…

You have thinner calves than me! I just measured mine and I am a healthy weight at 124lbs and only 5'2" but have 37cm calves and 23cm ankles. I need to lose more weight clearly!! I think you may have skinny ankles but the proportion difference is the same for us. I find it difficult to do up knee high boots because of my…

How about Pilates? I thought it was lame at first but there are a lot of strength exercises that would build muscle. I got the book DK a little course in Pilates. You could try the 30day shred but in the jumping warmup parts just do marching instead? Hope you find something

Can I join please

I just started new rules of lifting for women and am finding it too easy. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I don't feel satisfied leaving the gym if I'm not all 'puffed out'. I used to do more cardio at the gym but mostly high intensity and then some weights, admittedly not as heavy as I'm currently lifting.…

Put it in as calisthenics

I do not belong to a running group but have started to do organised races. There is a timed 'park run' that is a free 5k event every week. The results are published online and it has been a real motivator to increase my speed. I have been doing it for 9weeks and have knocked 5 minutes off my time. I have found that seeing…

I am 5'2" and started out at 136lbs post pregnancy. I got down to 122lbs but have been creeping back up to 125lb and hoping to gt back on track and find more time for exercise. I used to walk loads but no have to walk at my daughters pace. I have stated running recently though and completed my first 10k today. I need to do…

It's the clumber park one I'm doing. Sorry you can't make it, I hope you feel better soon. I was meant to be doing my first 10k in March but had to drop out due to recovering from carpel tunnel surgery. I am planning on doing one in September in Sheffield too. Hopefully we will both be fit enough to do that one.

I cook mine with the skin on to keep it moist, but then remove the skin before eating. Otherwise I cover it with a piece or ham of foil, it kind of steams it a bit, always makes good ones.

I should have clarified earlier. I am an ex gymnast and have been muscular since I was a child. I have always been self conscious about it. Thank you to those that gave constructive advice, I will keep going and hopefully get over my insecurities whilst I lose weight.

I lost 2.6lbs this morning! I have been good in terms of food all week, except a few biscuits over the weekend. My husband leaves them lying around and that makes my will power melt. I have also been exercising, although not as much as I would have liked. I'm hoping running around with a toddler and being silly is…

I am almost your twin. Height 5'2, last weigh in I was 130lbs, want to be between 120 and 115. I turn 30 next month!

I managed to swim 40 lengths of fast front crawl I think that's known as freestyle too. Quite proud as first bit of exercise for about a year. I have also been doing 40 kettlebell swings every morning before breakfast, whilst my daughter looks at me whilst I'm crazy! I don't know whether that counts as cardiovascular but…

Hi, I would love to join you all. I am a mum to Olivia (2) and Sebastian (6months). I have just rejoined the gym and start tomorrow! My goal is to swim once a week and keep walking places despite the rubbish British weather. Starting weight 130lbs Mini goal 120lbs Final goal 110lbs

That looks yummy! My husband and I both like coffee cake so thanks for that one, I think I might give it a try.

Thank-you for all your positive comments. I feel better knowing there are so many other people doing well and having off days as well. I will try to focus on the positive days I have already achieved rather than the one afternoon of bringing. At least it has only one afternoon and not every day as it once was. Thank-you…
