Feel like a failure

I thought I was doing really well in terms of dieting and cutting out almost all unhealthy snacks and sweets (candy) but had a massive lapse today
I started well doing quite a bit of exercise which is hard with two small children. But managed a bit of aerobics and walking with the kids, felt great after it but then ruined it by being a pig this afternoon. Hope this is just a lapse and not the end of my willpower. Not looking forward to stepping on the scales tomorrow. Anyone else managed to bounce back? Thanks

One day of splurging will not ruin your entire diet.
dont worry! as long as you gt back on track right away you should be ok.

People often recommend to me that i should have one day a week were i just binge.
And even though the idea of gorging myself for the day doesnt actually sound that appealing to me.
Sometimes you do just have to give in!
And then for the next week your cravings are gone because you ate all of them things on your binge day!0 -
Most of us have days like that. You just back on the horse, so to speak, and pick it right back up. You can do it...0

you will be fine. my husband and I go out everyother sat. night. and I always have a little something that I normally don't have. if you tell yourself you can NEVER have it, you will want it more. it's not always about what you eat its about how often you eat it. and much of it you have! it's all about balance. don't beat youself up over it. Everyone struggles...the strong pick themselves up an keep going! stay strong! YOU GOT THIS!!0

Draw a line under it and move on..One day CAN'T spoil your efforts. Just learn from it

We all have off days, the skill is being able to just move on and learn from it, i mean why? If you feel you need a good feed up then normally it means you do. All you have to do is balance it out with excercise and some healthy eating. The most important thing is not to let it stress you, and most of all KEEP SMILING, the rest is just numbers on a scale!!0

The biggest thing that will kill your motivation is to beat yourself up over a lapse , please don't do that, turn that negative into a positive , just think of all the days you did well and be proud of your self! We all have had days like that, we are only human, so just think of the all the days you did good and put this day behind you :flowerforyou:0

Thank-you for all your positive comments. I feel better knowing there are so many other people doing well and having off days as well. I will try to focus on the positive days I have already achieved rather than the one afternoon of bringing. At least it has only one afternoon and not every day as it once was. Thank-you for taking the time to reply to my post everyone, I appreciate your support.0
