I was definitely bullied as a kid. I was an ugly duckling: small, tubby, braces, frizzy hair, unibrow, and a total teachers pet and bookworm. The bullying only got worse because I would always talk back and be a smartass in self-defense. I've been beat up by several girls at a time, had things stolen from me, some boys…

I once stepped on a treadmill that was still running. I didn't realize because #1, was blasting my music too loud and #2, I didn't look down. Well, eventually I had no choice but to look down, I was on the floor with bloody shins. I immediately got up and shame-ran 3 miles before I calmly walked out, back to my car, and…

Coconut oil is great for many things, including cooking, but adding more calories into your diet daily will only result in a gain. If you do include it in your diet, make sure you log every last gram of it, considering how it fits into your daily caloric intake.
-
I log in less now than I used to because I'm pretty much where I had set my goal last year. I log my food here and there, keep track of my weight, and if I start trending towards a gain, I tighten up my logging. Before that, when I was working hard towards losing, I was on top of every morsel.

In general, if I don't eat enough, I can sometimes experience some pretty intense Hangry mood swings that, at very worst, become crying fits of frustration. You may do well to recalculate your goals. Scooby's Workshop calorie calculator has yet to steer me in the wrong direction. The numbers given I believe are pretty…

5'4-ish, 120lbs, size small tops, somewhere between a small and a medium, 26inch waist on jeans which translates to what size??? I don't know.
-
Yup. Right before my period, I can swing up an extra 3-5 lbs. It comes off pretty shortly thereafter.
-
I've been on birth control for about 10 years now. It hasn't directly affected my weight gains, losses, or maintenance. I do find that I can swing up to five lbs the days before my period, but that's just water weight.

This is the truest thing ever.

Usually the conversation starts because they know I've lost a significant amount of weight, and they'll ask for my opinion on everything from wraps, waist trainers, detoxing, juicing, fasting, diet pills, teas, etc, etc. I'll give my honest answer and if they don't accept it, I move on.
-
I'm curious to know if you've maintained that loss.
-
Hardly anything. I lost maybe 2 lbs tops, but that was before I started using and understanding MFP.

From the sounds of it she's doing both the giving and the taking. She's working hard to take care of herself and the person she loves, and she's taking his verbal jabs while he continues to fight change.
-
Seriously! He's a grown man and if he's going to throw a tantrum over "healthy" food, he can cook his own food, continue on the path he's on, and leave her to take care of herself in peace. His behavior is the one that needs to be checked, not hers.

Insecure and being very childish about it. He needs to deal with his feelings instead of taking it out on you.
-
Yup, that was definitely me yesterday. Lots of pasta, wine, and some ice cream to boot. I enjoyed every last bit of it though, and I'm back on track today.

In a pinch, I like the Fitness Blender stuff.
-
Yeaaah.....no.
-
That seems more like Lightly Active? I'm gonna star this just to see what people say. I did nothing but go to work and go home yesterday, and logged approx. 6500 steps.

My ex was a violent alcoholic and a virulent racist, so I I just shot his boss some of the sexist, anti-Semitic texts he'd send me about his boss's wife.

No. No. No. No. No. No.

Seconding this.

My brother has been kicked out of several rehabs for not complying. Hospitals and rehabs and programs are only help, the person with the problem has to do the actual work of learning to care for themselves and how to tackle triggers. If they're lucky, the program will offer help for people with dual diagnoses, like…

90% of the women I see at my gym are strapping these godawful things on in the bathroom before they work out. It makes me sad.

:D

Holy crap! You killed it!

I very much value my extra bit of sleep in the morning. I'm definitely a post-work snack, pre-dinner evening workout person. I usually end up eating dinner around 8 or 9pm, but that works just fine for me.

I've found I get the biggest protein bang for my buck with fish like tuna (not the canned) and salmon. Otherwise I fall back on yogurt, eggs, and convenience protein like quest bars. I average at least 100-110g of protein a day no problem. It was confusing and difficult to get enough at the beginning, but you'll sort it…

Greek yogurt, cheese, milk, nuts, protein powder, protein bars, quinoa, protein rich breads (I like the Ozery One Buns), beans, lentils, hummus.....

This response boils down to personal experience/gut feelings on the issue, so of course I'm open to smarter cookies validating or correcting, but: I personally feel that if you're training for a marathon/long distance running, that requires so much cardio, you should decide between the training and the dieting. I ended up…
