Nobody is forcing you to get a McChicken but you. Nobody is going to turn the car into the parking lot and drive through the drive through, buy one, and stuff it in your face... except you. Find a route home that doesn't pass a McDonald's as possible and have a different healthy treat (or non-food reward) at home waiting…

Nuts. Hate every kind except pistachios, but I don't like those enough to ever buy them. I like peanuts, but those are legumes. To me, nuts are like grass. Yeah, technically you can eat it, but why would you?! I think they're nasty. Disliking them helps me avoid a lot of desserts though.

I adjust my workouts around my family and friends for the most part. I might ask if we can start an event a little later or something, but if that's not a reasonable request then I push my workout to the early morning or the next day.

Personally, I don't feel like there is even a point in observing Yom Kippur if you're going to try to exercise during it. It's one of only a few days each year for you to take the time and reflect on your relationship with others (and with God if you believe in it/him/her). You will not be improving your body drastically…

You burn less because you are not that heavy. Many of the people on this site are overweight and a good bit taller than you. Simple laws of physics dictate that it will take more energy to move them the same distance at the same speed than it will take you. My boyfriend is almost 70 lbs heavier than me, 9" taller than me,…

Not everyone on the site exercises more than 2 or 3 times/week. Also if someone is just doing walking, they might use a regular bra.

11 total, I will probably toss one and replace with a better one though 2 Nike (one is ancient and too stretched out to provide support, gonna throw it away soon) 2 Danskin (came in a 2 pack at Wal Mart) 1 Bally from Meijer 2 Champion (I rarely wear them, too loose) 4 from Forever 21 (there are my favorites actually!) I…

I'm between 5'2" and 5'3", here's my B&A. I've gained a small amount back over 4 years (8-10 lbs) but the same clothes fit and I've kept active, so it was not all fat or from slipping in my eating.

I'm somewhere between 5'2" and 5'3" and I have a 1200 goal (I eat most exercise calories back, never under 1000/day, and I sometimes go over a little). Feel free to add me.

That is awesome! What I try to do with food like that is challenge myself to make it last at least as many days as there are servings in the container. I bought a bag of Mint M&Ms on Monday in which there are 5 servings. Today, I still have some left, which means I ate a serving or less per day. It's a helpful way for me…

If you've only noticed this right when you've started reducing your calories, then follow the advice in the comments above. However, if you're finding it's a consistent issue or hunger pangs that are constant, even right after (30 min to o and hour or so) you've eaten a decent meal, you might want to see a doctor/GI…

was never that overweight, just inside the "overweight" category for my height, but I lost ~20 lbs 4 years ago and have kept most of it off. I have gained a little back but I continued eating mostly healthy, exercising, and I still wear the same clothing from my lowest weight. I think that my body composition has improved…

I like 1 serving of beef jerky (or turkey jerky), plus a piece of 35 calorie bread, especially an hour before a workout.

Can you open up your diary so we can have a look? Also, your goal weight is listed as 105 lbs. How tall are you? Do you know (approximately even) your body fat %?

Frozen veggies are your friend. Broccoli cuts, okra, spinach, all kinds of veggies are usually only about $1 for a bag with 4 servings or so. Skip the mixes with corn and rice in them though. Add pepper, garlic powder, lemon pepper, Sriracha, anything you want. Thin sliced chicken breasts can be easily cooked in a pan on…

It's fine. Probably not a good idea if you're going on a long run or walk and it makes you have to use the bathroom though.

Mini bagel or 1/2 bagel with feta cheese, sliced tomato, garlic powder, bit of salt and pepper

2lbs per week is more than most people will reasonably lose each month. 10-12 lbs per month is more than 2 lbs per week. Unless OP has a very large amount of weight to lose, setting her goals like this will be unrealistic and end up getting her down if she can't meet them (most people could no meet these goals). IMO goals…

I think 500 calories above my goal would be a binge. It means I've either eaten a lot of the healthy/low calories foods I have in my house and I'm stuffing myself with them OR I've ignored my goal to eat healthy and bought some high-calorie food I didn't need to eat.

I like instant oatmeal (110 calories) with a scoop of chocolate protein powder (100 calories), made with water (0 calories) ---> 210 or... Carbmaster yogurt (60 calories) + 1 cup of unsweetened wheat puffs cereal (60 calories) + a tbsp of cocoa powder (20 calories) ---> 140

I knew a kid named Jake after Jake and the Fatman. His full name wasn't Jacob either, just Jake.

I lost about 30 lbs and gained about 10 back over 2 years. I still fit into the same clothes, so I don't think the weight gain was that big of a deal, I just don't look as toned and slim as I did before. I stopped counting intentionally though because it was causing me anxiety, making me a pain to be around when food was…

Oatmeal. My dad made it for me every morning when I was in elementary school and I got so sick of it that I thought I'd never eat it again. Now, at 23, I eat it for breakfast most mornings.
-
Not. Stay within your calories. Stay close to your macros. You will see progress.

1lb per week is actually very realistic for someone who isn't all that overweight. It's a healthy rate of weight loss. If you lose weight more rapidly than one or two pounds per week, you'll be either starving yourself or over-exercising and your result will be "skinny fat".

I was in a lot of pain (the good kind, meaning I had a good workout) after I did it for the first time, but I found that I started doing it every other day and working up to daily worked for me. The feeling like your freezing thing sounds like you're sick though.

Is the one y'all are talking about the machine that you are kind of laying on and kicking back one leg at a time against the weight?
-
Unless you are overweight, burning 800 calories in 1.5 hours is not too likely. Considering you are female and your profile says you don't have a lot of weight to lose, I think your HRM is overestimating your burn. I weigh 120 and 1.5 hours of just running/jogging burns maybe 500 on a good day.

Torn between New Zealand and Israel. I've been to Israel before and loved it, plus I would get to see some old friends but I've never been to New Zealand and it sounds/looks amazing.

I liek to have something small about an hour before if I work out in the AM. My usual coffee (with creamer and Splenda) and some 35 calorie bread or Wasa crackers usually keep me from being hungry or feeling dizzy
