  • My Fitbit has worked wonders for me. I am down 113.7 lbs since last July from using my Fitbit. I love setting goals for myself and pushing myself to get my steps everyday. There are many days where I would like to sit and relax instead of moving. Then I look at my step count and look at my pitiful amount of calories I have…
  • ^^^this!!! My husband is tall and with his activity level from his Fitbit adjustment, many days he is given about 2200-3000 to eat and he will still lose weight. If my husband was choosing to eat all of that in a short window of the day then it would definitely seem like a huge amount of food. With that being said...if he…
  • I’m down 111 lbs in the last 15 months and I only work nights. Time of day doesn’t matter, just how many calories you eat :)
  • I have always eaten back my Fitbit exercise calories and am down almost 110 lbs in the last 15 months. MFP has the deficit built into the calorie amount of gives you. If you exercise you are creating a bigger deficit which isn't always a good thing. I actually move more so that I can eat better foods and have more snacks :)
  • @jordandills I sent a request too if that's ok :)
  • I sent you a request. I've lost just over 100 lbs in about 13 months. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
  • If you are not weighing everything you eat then I guarantee you are eating more than you think. I am 5'3" and went from 258lbs to 158 lbs over the past 13 months just weighing all my food and walking, nothing more. My average calories are 1500-1700 per day depending on how much walking I do. I weigh everything I eat…
  • What is your goal? 1lb per week? 1350 calories sounds super low to me for your height and weight. I am 5'3" and am losing consistently eating 1500-1700 calories with just walking for exercise. I'm wondering if you are just retaining water though. If it's only been two weeks, that sounds like water if your logging is good.
  • Feel free to add me. I am currently about 98 lbs down from last year using only myfitnesspal to track my food and walking. I still have about 27 more lbs to lose, but my diary is open to friends I you want to see what kinds of foods I eat.
  • I recommend following myfitnesspal' method of counting calories and learning those smaller portions for a period of at least 6 months before you make any decisions. By following it, that means you need to stick with those calories though and not go over. I have a feeling if you do that, you will see enough results that you…
  • Mine just synced on its own for the first time since Saturday. Hoping the issue is fixed
  • Mine just synced too, all by itself. Happy lady over here
  • I just found this group and joined. I am currently on level 1, day 8 though. This has always been my go to workout for real results. In the past I have lost several inches even though I've never actually completed the whole 30 days. I am now over 80 lbs lighter and ready to get this accomplished.
  • I'm on day 8 today and I love it. Took measurements the first day and took some quick new measurements today and I'm already down .25-.5" in several areas after only a week.
  • I posted about this in the weight loss forum. We've all been having syncing issues since Saturday. Someone posted an article from mfp that they are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it.
  • Just posted about this a bit ago. Same issues here. Someone posted and article from mfp that they are aware of the problem. They are working to get it resolved.
  • Thank you for posting this.
  • Ugh, hopefully they fix it soon. I have been using my Fitbit since September and have lost a huge amount of my weight with it. Good thing is now I can kind of see where my activity level is and the calories I need to eat. I just wish it would work right now, I'm a creature of habit
  • Focus on your eating first. I started at 258lbs last July and have lost 83lbs since then without ever stepping foot in a gym. Only recently in the past month have I began to get on my treadmill and run, along with starting the 30 day shred workout a week ago. Weight loss happens in the kitchen. Make small changes, weigh…
  • In my opinion WLS should only be considered if you have serious medical issues that require the fast weight loss. My mom was a perfect candidate with the major issues she had. She has lost 150+ lbs with WLS, but not without issues. She also can no longer eat many foods she once ate. I'd personally rather lose and be able…
  • I gain more at ovulation time than TOM.
  • Happened end of yesterday and so far all of today for me.
  • Lost 83 lbs so far since July using only this app. It works if you use it correctly

  • I started at 258lbs and I'm only 5'3". I had a hard time exercising and I lost consistently on more calories than you are taking in. I would walk or heck even do punches (burns calories and doesn't affect your lower half). I am now down 83 lbs and worked my way up to a regular exercise routine. You need to try and remember…
  • Totally doable!!! I am 83lbs down since July with 37lbs left to go. Friend request me if you want a peek and how much I eat or what I eat regularly. The first 80 lbs were lost with just calorie restriction, I slowly added in walking. I am now running miles every week, walking 12,000-15,000 steps a day on my non running…
  • 82 lbs down in the last 9 months thanks to this app alone and nothing else. I weight and log everything. You have to stick with it and be consistent for it to work, but it absolutely works.
  • Yes but what will you do when you stop taking these supplements and your appetite returns to your original level??? These typically help short term, but if you have not adapted permanent better eating habits, then you will most likely gain the weight back. The pills teach you nothing to sustain long term results. All you…
