definately check out other programs! i love olympic and power lifting but am not a fan of 5x5. mix things up, find a new program, etc. Once you find what's what you enjoy it will be different for sure.

Protein powder. One scoop mixed with some water and then thats my creamer. It's a win win. Not wasting fats in a drink and getting my protein in.

Keto people are losing that much because they are also losing muscle as well, or they are significantly overweight and have a lot to lose. It will slow down for them too.

Feel free to add me, far from low carb but am due nov 11 and still logging and following my plan
-
Yup, was before and still am, currently 29 weeks along and still logging every day
-
holy smokes, um you are probably stalling because you aren't eating anything, what are your stats? Do you exercise? You should be logging your exercise and eating those calories back as well. Are you weighing everything and making sure that your entries are accurate?

I'm 5'3", 38 years old and eat about 3000 cals per day and was losing (I don't lose now because I am pregnant and am not doing as much activity as before, but cals have always been about the same). I have lost just under 100lbs prior to pregnancy. Basically if you are even moderately active you need more than the 1200…

Concept 2, others are not worth it.

To lose, about 2800, to maintain about 3300. A little different right now as I am pregnant so averaging about 3000 and staying about the same but exercise isn't as intense.

I wore my regular running shoes, nothing special. As long as they are comfortable and will not hurt your feet the whole time then they should be fine. I wouldn't spend the money on new ones. Definitely wouldn't wear gloves
-
Eat to perform, I eat on average 300-400g carbs per day, 160g protein and 80-100g fat per day.

Hey there, I am due Nov 11 and we are expecting a boy!
-
I found out I was a few days farther along than originally told. Nov 11 is my due date. :)

I am 12w5d and in the beginning I gained 16lbs within days. I had all day sickness but was still hungry. I had zero energy to cook so it was all fast food and lots of it. This past week and a half I have felt much better and have been back to my regular exercise (with limitations of course) and have been back to tracking…
-
Are you meaning 3000 for the whole day or is it saying you burned an extra 3000 on top of your total day? If it is the total day then yes that can definately be accurate and as others suggested try your best to eat calorie dense foods so you get in a lot of calories at once. If it is saying 3000 plus your total day then…

Been crossfitting for 2 1/2 years and now pregnant, makes quite a difference in my workouts now lol
-
^This! The mfp program is made for you to eat back exercise calories, that's why the goal they give you is so low in the first place.
-
I have done it for over 2 years and have lost almost 100lbs and gained a ton of muscle, I am now a coach with them. Well worth it. :)
-
I was crossfitting before I got pregnant and have continued. I am still in my first trimester. Continuing to exercise is the only thing that makes me feel good, otherwise it is 24/7 "morning sickness"
-
That is one thing I don't know, my coach has never had me use a dumbbell for these. In my opinion though I don't think it makes a difference as the movement is not working on your hand so it really shouldn't matter how the weight is held. Also when I was first learning them my coach actually had me use a shoe as it was the…

I do tgu's all the time.

Weight is 175lbs, current 1rm is 165lbs but its been a while since I tested it so maybe I have a bodyweight bench now. ;)
-
Theres a ton of opinions on here because that's what worked for them. I think the same thing about the posts saying you have to do low carb to lose weight. I roll my eyes everytime lol. You do you and do what you enjoy!
-
I eat 160g protein a day and I eat chicken breast a lot on the days that I don't have a lot of fat macros available. I have protein powder daily as well.
-
5'3" 185lbs. Generally a 10 but I have some 8's and some 12's. Generally a medium top but sometimes large depending.

I was going to respond to her ridiculousness but seeing this I will just quote you again cause your answer is perfect.

ive never heard of the thinner leaner stronger but I just did the calculator for iifym and it gave me 2600 cals/day which is not much less than I eat now. I don't see how eating enough to fuel your workouts and still losing is "baloney"....
-
2200/day is not crazy. It all depends on your activity. I started out at 270lbs, currently weight 181 and eat 2800/day and am still losing consistently. I am also 5'3". i do also do a lot of heavy lifting so not saying you need to eat that much lol. If you are doing 2 workouts a day then 2200 is probably a good idea. But…

This! I started out eating 1600 cals a day when I first started out. I would lose but not consistently. I now eat 2800 a day and lose on a regular basis. So yes for some people, it is better to eat more to lose.
