  • Exactly. I try to keep to 30g carbs *per meal,* not all day. This is what my nutritionist recommended after I got really, really dizzy from not eating enough carbs. I am in the first week of my lower (not low, lower) carb regime (and watching calories overall), and found that, again, I wasn't getting enough carbs often…
  • Like athijade said, it won't do much good. You'll part with your cash, but these detox claims are wholly ungrounded in science. They're scams.
  • I use MFP to track my food and exercise. I did fall of the wagon, and gained some back. But net loss is still positive. The only scientifically proven way to lose weight is to burn more calories than one takes in. Friends on celebrity diets are probably running a calorie deficit. But they are paying for some fancy…

  • Said no to the large ice cream cone at DQ. Got a small, saved half the calories. I am learning portion control!
  • So true! I walked to Dairy Queen with my wife to get a cone, and we realized that we'd left our money at home! I still got my cone, but I wasn't nearly as hungry after the walk, for some reason, and got by with a small cone! So I earned my treat too, which was nice.
  • Depends on the workout! Higher intensity workouts = more burned in a given amount of time. Or you can go lower intensity for longer times. Either way seems good!
