We had a similar end goal, though I started higher than you. Adding you and you can do it!
-
I think it's doable but hard. I think realistically 1 lb per week is more attainable though. It's easier to lose faster in the beginning, but that does tapper off.
-
What is your activity level set as on MFP? That would make a difference.
-
What effort level are you choosing in the up app when you log the exercise? Play around with that setting to what feels right for you is my suggestion. I had to play with that a bit for when I'd log weight training and whatnot.
-
Even when mine is in sleep mode it does record steps if I get up and walk to the kitchen to grab a glass of water or whatever. I am not sure if that makes a difference for steps. Putting it into sleep mode gives you information for your sleep tracking.
-
I don't think that's an issue. Do you get up at night and walk to the bathroom or to get a glass of water or whatnot? Did you go to bed after 12am? It resets at 12am. See how it goes after a few weeks and see how it goes. So far I've had the Up2 for 2 months and I have found it to be pretty accurate.

It depends on what it is. Prepackaged stuff, like a granola bar, I don't. For now this works for me, though if ever it stops, I'll start weighing those as well to make sure. I don't imagine it's THAT far off to cause issues for me right now though.
-
It depends on what causes them for you. For me, eliminating dairy and stress helped the most for me. I still get them on occasion, but not as much.
-
I think it's fine. How you FEEL is the most important.
-
Does it? I haven't noticed that! I'd love if it did though because I hate having to remember to update it in both! I'll have to look out for that :)

I think I'm one of few that actually likes my UP2. But I can tell from many people on here and other places that most have major issues with it. I have "quirks", as I like to call it, with it. But overall I do like it. I never had an UP24 so I cannot compare it for you though, sorry!

I think there's already some great advice in this thread. One week is not long enough, be consistent, read through the forums and the links others have provided. You can do this.
-
I've dealt with sleeping problems for a long time. What's helped me the most is an eye mask and tiring myself out before going to bed. That with doing relaxing things: shower, drinking tea. Good luck!

You cannot get upset over this. It's normal day to day fluctuations. Stop weighing in so often, start logging consistently and precisely (using a food scale) and the weight will come off.
-
Many have expressed it already but invest in a food scale and be proud of what you've lost thus far!
-
I don't think that you should expect them to work out with you. This is your journey and your choice, not theirs. They can be supportive in whichever way is best or easiest for them, not you. You need to find motivation from within. You have lost a lot thus far, you can continue to do so.

I guess so far I'm lucky in the sense that I have clothes already in my drawers that were sizes too small from me from before I started losing weight. So I am good till about 3/4 of my way to my goal weight. I think that's my saving grace for this! Good tips though. I remember it being daunting spending so much money on…

I haven't contacted them yet. Last time I did it took them almost 2 weeks to email me back. I can't quite call during their business hours easily because of my work schedule. If it indeed dies I'll have to for sure. I'm hoping the soft reset I just did solves this odd pairing issue though. Seems strange that it just…

I charged it yest has a full battery. Its really random when it unpairs. Usually im home when it happens but not today. I think about carrying the charger but doubt id have time to try and pair it at work - the second i turn my pc on i have line ups infront of me. I hope it does store the data though.
-
Ps sorry for typos im on my phone at work im not used to it.

Change your eating habits so you are eating less. The first 30 lbs I lost on here were food intake changes alone from logging accurately on MFP. Then, when you're ready, walk home from work, take weekend hikes, do activities that your schedule allows.
-
Congrats! Hitting your first milestone and seeing your progress is definitely uplifting for you, I can imagine! WOOT!
-
I just did. Though I'm wondering if it needed to or if perhaps some of that, well mainly the steps, could actually just be real? Anyways, thank you for the suggestion :)
-
That also reminds me - since I got the Up2, I've had issues with the stopwatch mode. I put it in stop watch, then when I open the app again to end it, I have to press like 3 or 4 times before it actually ends stopwatch mode. Weird!
-
I meal prep on Sundays as well for the entire week. Weight it, log it, cook it, eat it. Saves me so much time in the week!

This.

As others have said - set your activity level to lightly active and don't log it.
-
I wear my for extended showers and for dishes and whatnot, no problems yet! I'd think it'd be fine for runs with water obstacles.

Just out of sheer curiosity, when you used to get the calorie burn from the spin class on the Up24 was it similar to if you use the stopwatch mode in the Up2 and log it as biking? I'm just curious if the calorie count is close at all. I know that doesn't solve your step problem and that you'd want to analyse that data.
