ha, well I'm not off to a good start- 159.6 which is up about half a lb. But I've been good this week so I'm pretty sure I've just got some water weight hanging on from high sodium corn beef and cabbage I had a few times this week. I need to get back into the habit of working out every morning too. I've fallen off the…

I put in something so it has a flavor. I like the True Lemon packets - no artificial sugars just powdered lemon. Or I'll add other fruit or throw in an herbal teabag. Or drink flavored seltzer (unsweetened). I also drink it warm or at least room temperature. If it's too cold I get cold, and I'm always already cold. My…

I joined too the party too. Hoping some extra motivation will help me get down to my goal! Thanks for setting this up! I'm at 159 and my goal is to hit 145...but I'll be pretty happy to get below 150 too.

I did Ripped in 30 afterwards and I liked that one even more.

I did it last year and had good luck. It made me feel so strong. I have lower back problems, and this program really strengthened my core and got rid of the pain. I'm actually going to start doing it again this week. Though I'm starting on weeks 5/6. In term of weight loss I'm fairly close to my goal and I'd lost 5 lbs,…

Agreeing with other posters...Whenever I change up my workouts I get a little sore and retain water. Then it goes away.

I can't imagine they're related. I am a big Jillian Michaels fan and don't get sick because of it. You might just be getting run down. I'd make sure you're getting enough sleep and drinking lots of fluids. Maybe when you're adding in more regular exercise your sleep suffers -meaning you get up early to work out and lose…

I switch back and forth. I do the 3 month deal on WW and then cancel and go back to MFP. I do wel maintaining on both websites, but if I'm trying to push harder and lose weight doing something "fresh" that I can get excited about helps me. It's all in my head, and I like both programs. Just switching back and forth works…

I'm starting PiYo tomorrow and I'd love to hear how others do on the program. Do you want to make a group or just ad friends?

I don't know if this is true for you but when I first started my weight loss years ago I was close to 200 lbs and was squeezing into clothes and sizes that were too small because I didn't want to admit to myself that I could actually need a size 16 (or even 18). So when I started losing weight I didn't get to automatically…

Hi, I realize I'm replying to an older thread, but how is it going? I'm doing Chalean Extreme too. I probably started around the same time as you. I'm on week 3 of Phase 1. I like how strong I'm feeling but I'm wishing I could find a way to add in some extra cardio. I am always surprised my heart rate gets on the burn…

In the past I've used mini-rewards. Lose so many inches and get a treat (for me that's stuff like $10 gifts to myself that I wouldn't usually spend money on- I'm pretty frugal). I also just try to do things I enjoy so that I'm not as focused on it. After a few weeks of getting back into a healthy mind set it seems normal…

I haven't don't Piyo yet, just watched the ads but I did do T25 for a while. T25 was pretty boring / repetitive for me. Just lots of jumping around and I didn't enjoy it to stick with it. And that's saying something because I love my exercise dvds. From what I've seen of Piyo there is a lot of core work and flexibility…

Not really...I held on to a lot of it and unfortunately none of it looks that good. Cute clothes from 5 years ago just aren't stylin' today and don't look as cute as I remember. :) Even jeans are different cuts and colors than a few years ago. So most of the clothes I did hold on to I've gotten rid of. Constantly buying…

I'm 5'7" and at my heaviest in my 20's I was around 195 and it took me about 2 years to lose 35 pounds. I changed how I eat and started doing exercise videos. I'm not a fast loser by any means, and I also don't have the will power or desire to do any kind of really restrictive diet. I just started to eat smaller portions…

I give myself pep talks before I get on the scale. Because even though I know it is just a number that shifts depending on my salt intake and muscle soreness I still get totally bummed out by a number. My head may now the number doesn't really matter but my heart / motivating core takes a hit every time its a "bad" number.…

And do what you find fun! If you enjoy it you'll stick with it. Good luck!

Maybe workout some more. Right after being active I loose the desire to drink. If you're on the hunt for a job I suggest taking a look at Askamanager.com. She has tons of good advice on finding a job..lots of good info on resumes, cover letters and interviewing. It definitely has helped both me and my husband.

Thanks for the links!

I don't know if you have any video games systems but maybe a fit video game like boxing or the wii Olympics. Those can be a lot of fun and you can all play together if you want.

I posted about almost this exact thing a while ago and someone suggested trying a different sports bra...and it worked for me. The other one was pinching something and getting a different bra fixed it. Good luck!

I hate the texture of oatmeal so I always add crunchy things. My go to recipe is oatmeal, 1 T of peanut or almond butter and a half or whole apple cut up. Frankly I'm not crazy about oatmeal, but its healthy and filling so I eat it fairly often.

Me too please. :)

I never gained a lot with my pregnancies but I couldn't loose weight while BFing and usually gained about 5 pounds over the time that I BFed - 8 months for one and a year for the other. My body likes to hold on to weight while I'm feeding that baby. If I cut my calories at all my supply would drop. So I did my best, I…

I'm 5'6" and currently a size 10, and I started out as a 14 and thought I'd be happy with a 10 but am now shooting for an 8. I think I look good, but I still am not comfortable in a swim suit and want to be able to show off the muscle that still hiding under some flab.

I was close to your stats when I started and lost while eating1500 calories. I've tried 1200 calories many times, but I just can't sustain it. I like eating too much. :) I also work out almost every day - just doing half an hour of a dvd. I will say I'm more of a zig-zagger though. Sometimes I end up closer to 1200, and…

Like the post above, I'd read that recent studies show that multiple bursts were more effective. I think you should do whatever works for you. I prefer to have one longer session, but my schedule seldom allows for that, so I try to do something in the morning before everyone is up and a dance party with the kids at night.…

I'm a mom of two little ones who works full time and the only way I can work out is at home. I don't have the time to use or the funds to pay for a gym membership (on top of daycare...man is daycare expensive!). I've had a lot of success working out in the morning before the kids are up. I have hand weights that range from…

When I was getting my husband to do DVD's with me, he wouldn't / couldn't do anything with much choreography or patterns (things like grapevine to the left, kick twice, repeat in the other direction). But he could do and didn't mind the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred which was more straightforward. I'm not crazy about 30Day…

I haven't read it so take this with a grain of salt but I heard New Rules of Lifting for Women is supposed to be good. I think it has specific plans when to do what. http://www.amazon.com/The-New-Rules-Lifting-Women/dp/1583333398 Good luck!
