when you lose a loved one, a part of you dies. The body and mind needs to grieve the loss, and eventually you will pull through this. It is normal to lose sleep and appetite during this time. You have been dealt a blow and the body/mind needs to adjust to it. I am glad you parted on a kind note..

Reading posts like this one really gives me encouragement to keep on going. I am trying to heal up my body from Type 2 diabetes, keeping my carbs low, and I keep my calories up with peanut butter and romaine wraps. Lentils are sooo versatile! I am glad you discovered them. Make your hummus at home and leave the processed…

I use them to thicken my smoothies. It makes my smoothie rich and decadent. My mom ate them right out of the peel. To me, that was like eating green lard, and it made me gag (a texture thing).

Arby's beef and cheddar sandwiches with curly fries and a cup of cheese to dip my fries. That's OK...Nothing tastes as good as thin and healthy feels.

I make strawberry/raspberry puree with my magic bullit, measure it out by the cup, bag it and freeze it. All ready for a smoothie when desired. I found berries are really not that high in caloric value. If you need to be carb conscious, use fruit sparingly but it is an awesome source of fiber.

Hang in there, moiszambra....It works if you work it. Good luck (-:

Checkers at the grocery store that don't give you enough time to jot the total down in my check book. It is now a plastic world and it has sped things up, BUT...If you don't want to be paying overdraft fees, you gotta jot this down when you make the purchase.

Seeing perfectly fit people using the treadmill on the ground floor. There is only one down there, WITH A HANDICAP PLACARD on it, and I still have to haul my gimpy arthritic knees up a flight of 24 stairs to get to an available treadmill. GGGgrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Nice def! My husband was a body builder and competed in Eastern Washington years ago. He got me interested in the gym. He had an A frame body and a washboard stomach. His forearms looked like Popeye! I said "he had" because he passed away about 12 years ago due to an old brain injury from childhood.

GAWD! That's me in a nut shell. I will challenge myself not to eat anything after 6 PM. I will eat a high fiber, high protein dinner and that's it until breakfast. Great idea! I was just talking about a partial fast with my trainer this morning.

1. Try self-hypnosis...It has worked wonders for my stress level and it's FREE. 2. I saw you posted that you sell the stuff, and we are not to advertise on these forums, so I consider it as SPAM.

You nailed it!! As long as you don't eat that way a lot, the weight will stay off. It took me a long time to stop continually denying myself a dinner out now and then. I usually do it once a month.
