BOOM AGAIN!

MFP has set my caloric need at 1310 per day. I also have an almost non-existent appetite. I find I have to add peanut butter to my smoothies and eat bean salad or something in order to get in that full 1310 calories. It's very difficult for me not to skyrocket my fat and try to stay around 60 carbs a day. I eat a lot of…

Once a month on my doctor's scale. I know it is best to weigh in before breakfast, but I see the doc in the afternoons and I have eaten by then. Every scale I have bought for home use in the past has been crap. I use the one at the docs office. I should try the one at the gym. I just hope they maintain and calibrate it…

I don't know the fitness lingo but I will google your suggestions. Thank You (-:

My sister and her husband both went off sugar and after about 3 days they started getting brain splitting headaches. They treated them with Tylenol and kept going strong. after another 1 or 2 days, the headaches vanished. I believe they eat berries now, on a daily basis, but no processed sugars. The crankiness sounds like…

Awesome. I have been doing workouts with my trainer for almost a year and he has worked wonders with my body. I feel great, my clothes are getting loose, and when I "suck it in" I really feel some power in my core. NOW... I never really got into lifting per say, so can you give me an idea of some lifting activities to add…

Thank you both for your kind words of encouragement. I just received a book on diabetes control and charts of foods and their carb, fat and protein amounts. The book even covers fast food, and a boat load of brand names from the grocery store. I, however, try to keep the processed foods down to a minimum except for my…

Thank you! I don't lift, so I haven't gained pounds of muscle, I just tone. I have a 30 minute core session on one day, an upper body on another day and a lower body on a third day. Each day followed with a 30 minute go at the treadmill. My trainer said we are working hard on the core area because I hold a lot of my weight…

Good luck in your search for some relief.

Yes I do. I have a kitchen digital scale and I use it religiously. I asked my doctor if it may be due to the meds I am taking for thyroid, diabetes and kidney stones, and she said it is possible that could be part of the problem. I am working very hard trying to reverse my type 2 diabetes with the low carb lifestyle, but I…

My mensus used to be all over the place, NEVER every 28 days, and incredibly heavy. I went on depo prevera shots just so I could get a break from the madness. This went on for about 3 years. I went off at age 48 and around age 50, I went into pre menopause. I went 8 months without a spot, then WHAMMO...Aunt Rose came to…

I saw my nutritionist today and was a bit disappointed at only a 3 lb. loss (about 3 weeks). However, I bought two new workout shirts last week and was dumbfounded to find that I have gone from a size 3X to a 26-28. Weight loss or not, that was AWESOME!

I weigh once a month at my doctors office on a well maintained and calibrated scale.

I buy mine freshly ground at Whole Foods Market.

I have had type 2 diabetes for a while now, and just 2 weeks ago I read a book about reversing type 2 diabetes, and one of the big keys is eating low carb. I try to limit myself to around 60 per day and eat healthy most of the time. I was entertaining today and went to a restaurant for dinner. I still went over by only…

I find that the more people actually get on here and post, the more butt heads come out of the woodwork. I found that out yesterday on a different thread. I refuse to take their crap and I just look for a thread that is more supportive. It will be interesting to see how many get on my tail about THIS.

I know, right? That's a good thing. My favorite one is chocolate chip cookie dough. Which is yours???

I will give a certain gym employee credit for that one. I am diabetic, so I need to follow different guidelines than healthier people.

I'm not getting into a debate on this issue, cause I will probably lose. I am referring to the fact that some women have a tough time tightening their abdomen after giving birth...I didn't say all women. It was just a comment.

I have hypothyroidism, and with all of my working out, eating rabbit food and shunning bread I was bouncing up and down by 5 lbs. and felt all of my efforts were in vain. I am seeing a Nutritionist now, and working on reversing my type 2 diabetes by greatly limiting my carbs. The results over the past 2 weeks have been…

If you gave birth to kids, good luck honey...

I have acute osteoarthritis in both knees after ruining them doing 14 years in warehouse work. I have discovered as long as I keep active my knees stay lubricated and don't get so stiff. As the weight comes off, I have some relief as well. I hope to someday, stop the Kenelog injections I subject my knees to every 6 months.…

I love raw sunflower seeds. I either eat them from the package, or put them in salads and my yogurt.

Talk with your Doctor or a Nutritionist for advice on a food and exercise plan.

I use liquid Stevia in my green tea and lemonade. Good stuff Maynard. I keep honey on hand in the event of hypoglycemia, but that happens rarely.

Bread and white rice. I am better off without them...

I have about 150 lbs to lose, so here I am.

Washington state...I am enjoying the hot, dry weather that is soooo not normal for this area.

I have always heard "The clean plate club is a dangerous organization". I thought it was clever. I, too, grew up having to empty my plate or I would get scolded. BAD IDEA, FOLKS. Now, I just don't use dinner plates for my food. I have even kept a stash of small paper plates and bowls and I rarely use full sized dishes to…
