I'm with the "not food" group. I thought I could indulge this and that for special occasions. Mostly, I can't. Especially if it is bread or junk chocolate. First bite tastes bad, second tastes less bad, 5 minutes later the whole whatever has disappeared, and I'm in a haze of "why did I eat that?". Not only that but one…

I'm sorely in need of this, by now to get the basics right again is challenge enough. ::sigh:: ::flowerforyou::

WTG! That is awesome! Congrats! ::flowerforyou::

I'm sorry I was not clear. They did improve dramatically, as did all other markers. I had been a vegetarian leaning on vegan since my early teens. My diet was "very healthy" by most doctors definition. Except that I ended diabetic and 315lbs. So this is definitely better for me. But to break the mindset that I'm missing…

Thanks for sharing! My body clearly loves zc and the closer to that I eat the better I feel but I worry that I'll be missing nutrients. And yet I had a severe deficiency of vitamin D and B12 before I changed to this woe so it looks like my previous very varied and colourful diet was much worse for me. So confusing.…

That looks awesome! Thank you for sharing! Registered and going to check the goodies as soon as I'm home! ::flowerforyou::

Thank you all so much for your support! One day at a time does it. :) ::flowerforyou::

@Midnightgypsy0 I know, I keep telling myself that. I feel like a spoiled brat wishing the world was "fair" (meaning, eat whatever I want and be slim and healthy). ::flowerforyou::

Thank you @RalfLott, it meant a lot to see your message. ::flowerforyou::

Grilled fish is my choice if available. If not, then steak. If neither, then fried eggs (it's the only way to be certain they're whole and not from a carton). For sides I'll have sautéed or steamed veggies, green leaves preferably. If cooked greens are too difficult I'll have a tomato and lettuce salad without seasoning.…

So that's what I did wrong! Thanks for the laugh @Sunny_Bunnie. ::flowerforyou::

Dragonwolf, I hope you find your answers, that looks like a very unappealing experience. This is a very informative thread, lots of interesting comments. ::flowerforyou::

<3 WOW, class of 2016 is amazing! <3 WTG everyone! And thank you for the reminder of all the reasons we start this woe and the incredible changes we get from it. I'm from an earlier class (late 2014) and I really needed it. Keep strong, there are many more victories in your future! ::flowerforyou::

Thank you @Sunny_Bunnie you always see the bright side of things. I'm trying to take it as a lesson because I obviously needed it. When things start going well and we feel like we're "in control" perhaps for the first time ever, it's easy to try to push it a little bit further. At least that's what happened with me and I…

@nvmomketo This really is true. There's this haze when it looks like eating sugar is worth it and a little becomes a lot and a lot becomes out of control. But when we stop all kinds of good things happen. I look back at myself and I can see it's destructive behaviour and I don't understand why I let it happen. @neohdiver I…

@anglyn1 Yes, thank you, it was wonderful. I have family living all over the world and this is the time we are (almost all) together. It was great! ::flowerforyou::

Thank you @Karlottap, I know (and hope) it will be mostly inflammation but I needed someone to tell it to me again. I'm still a bit depressed but I know it's the sugar leaving. No carbage today. :) ::flowerforyou::

Merry Christmas! Have a wonderful day! <3 ::flowerforyou:: <3

Great results! That's a great NSV and Christmas present all in one! ::flowerforyou::

When I started LC I used the scale for every single item. It was very eye opening re size portions! Plus, I had to use the scale, because I was eating so many foods that I had never had before and I had no idea of their composition. But I cook most meals from real ingredients, I think it's almost impossible to get accurate…

I take breaks if it is a special occasion. On my birthday, Christmas, holidays, I'm a bit more relaxed regarding fruit and sugar so that I can eat a proper dessert and not resent being deprived. But it's been two and a half years since I had any form of wheat, rice, corn or potatoes and I don't intend to have them ever…

Hello Maya and welcome! I have that occasionally. I assume it's just the body doing its thing. In any case if it is the first time it happened it surely is not reason to be terrified. Maybe someone can be more helpful but know that changing to this woe is the single best thing you can do for your health. ::flowerforyou::

Great video! @camtosh thanks for sharing. I'm glad about the good news re metformin because it looks like I'll have to keep taking it. @cstehansen I wanted to know how far I would go without metformin too. I hope your results are better than mine. I've been decreasing the amount I take for a year or so, and stopped taking…

I eat plain unsweetened Greek yogurt every day. At 3.2 carbs per 100g I think it's harmless and I need it to keep things moving. ::flowerforyou::

Great results! Re cholesterol, do you know Jimmy Moore's book? https://amazon.co.uk/Cholesterol-Clarity-What-Wrong-Numbers/dp/1936608383/ ::flowerforyou::

Yay you! That is awesome! ::flowerforyou::

WOW, you all look amazing! Great job everyone! ::flowerforyou::

I hope this show appears somewhere with subtitles. And, from your description I hope the participants soon feel more in charge of their own lives and health. After all, they're getting better with just a few changes. This woe is very empowering, very much unlike the take-a-pill-then-another mentality. ::flowerforyou::
