This is probably a better way to word what I'm going through right now. I feel like I'm going to be losing a part of my identity because I've always been bigger and everyone knows me as that. The compliments feel great but I fear that people will look at me differently.

Logging exercise calories and trying to be accurate. I just gave up. Of course I'm going to work out every day, but only eat inside my calorie goal and not worry about what I'm burning or whether or not I should eat them back. I've tried and that's overwhelming to me.

@arditarose Yes, I set myself to sedentary. I don't include walking or C25K as "active." I just log it in my cardio.

I use walking as my major source of exercise, and it most definitely works. I've lost 23 lbs just from calorie counting on MFP and walking. I'm in. I have 30 lbs I want to lose by the end of June. This would be a great way to kickstart my goal. :) 30 lbs seems like a lot, but it's been coming off pretty quickly. I have a lot to lose.

@Mr_Knight Actually, I can burn 1000 calories easy in one workout. It only takes about an hour of running and walking intervals. I'll be posting here every day to check in. I also log my calorie burns with an HRM.

I have access to the gym, but memberships are super expensive and I'm the only one working in my family. I have free weights at home though. :)

Most days I don't eat back my exercise calories because I feel eating them back defeats the purpose of working out. I will only eat back my exercise cals if I feel the need to eat a couple of cookies or something which is very seldom. Maybe I'm wrong, but everyone is different and it works for me. Keep doing what you're doing. In the first few days especially you will lose a whole ton of water weight. In the first 6 days I was doing this I lost 7 lbs. I promise you're more than likely doing it right:)
