  • Pretty much my favorite thread right now. I needed a pick me up tonight, thanks!
  • I don't know why people wouldn't talk to you with them exposed. I like to hear the story behind a tattoo they tend to be really interesting, or even show you parts of that persons personality you wouldn't learn about for quite a long time. That being said, however, I'm sad to say that for the most part I just do not find…
  • Real bros would never go catabolic by doing cardio.
  • If you are trying to get off a plateau then yes low carb/sugar is likely to help. I did a semi-strict 30 day paleo challenge to get me off my plateau and found it rather effective. As far as fruit goes, just keep things in moderation.
  • I'm on there, feel free to circle me! https://plus.google.com/116494244563808369680/posts
  • I use the official paid app for android(there is a free one). whenever you complete a day it simply fills in the bar with green to let you know that day is complete. Thats what I've been doing to keep track.

  • Put your scale in your fridge, so its the first thing you see. If that doesn't guilt trip you, nothing will. :D
  • Well for your motivation the first thing you need to decide is what do you want. I want to shed all of my post-marriage weight gain, and then tone up to a slim-medium definition build. Personally I agree that you look fantastic. The more I work on getting fit the more I find those silly photoshopped models unattractive. Do…
  • You can add me, 24. I can always use more motivation.
  • I'm in the same boat. I typically drive 4 hours out of my 8 hour day. Since I'm forever forgetting to make myself lunch I'm usually left with drive-thru options. This is amazing, and I'm pretty sure you are my hero!
  • Always late. I don't like a crowded gym and I'm definitely not a morning person. My wife and I usually go around 9-11pmish
  • Last time my AC was out I was super motivated to go to the gym...because their AC was working :D
  • Pan with aluminum sheet.

  • It took me about two weeks to start seeing any results with my diet. Mostly it involved drinking the proper amounts of water every day and eating less sodium. The water weight started dropping off quickly, but then it slowed down to its normal pace. Stick to it! One week isn't enough to get a good idea of how things are…
  • That is certainly not something you should be afraid to show off. You look fantastic! Congrats!
  • Fast food calories sneak up on you fast. I can't do it anymore though. I've been eating mostly high quality meats and lots of salads. I got a fast food burger as a quick meal the other day and my stomach made me regret it later.
  • Judging from the pictures in your profile it looks like you aren't at a particularly high BMI right now. As a result its harder for you to lose those last few pounds. It could simply be that it till just take longer to see a visible stomach result due to your already lower BMI. The other thing could simply be that you are…
  • I wouldn't sweat fruit sugars. MFP only reads raw numbers(which is all it should do). It doesn't tell the difference between a lot of foods such as: natural sugar vs refined, whole grain vs enriched, etc. If you go over on a certain category, but are maintaining good portions, and making healthy food choices then its not…
  • I tried a spinning class once. The instructor was obviously crazy. I died. Seriously though, that was one of the best cardio work outs I've ever had.
  • They say they can't pee standing up...I think the lot of them are just lazy! (like that?)
  • I've recently fallen in love with the Kraft Asian Sesame dressing. I use it on most chicken and salads, but its just fantastic!
  • Ignore the "fat burning zone" just simply log the total calories burned.
  • You will burn a lot of calories that way, yes. Its mostly going to depend on your heart rate to determine how many calories you burn. I see no problem with doing split cardio. Too much cardio can cause your body to turn catabolic and begin to eat muscle instead of fat. I, unfortunately, don't know what the limitations are…
  • Congrats! It starts with 1lb. Welcome to MFP!
  • Do what works for you. I originally started doing strength training first, and then interval training cardio, but I was so tired after the weights that I couldn't do my cardio effectively. I switched, and I'm still loosing weight just fine.
  • I've only ever used beef, though I'd like to branch out into other meats eventually. Making jerky is very straight forward. To start, you need the leanest meat you can get. You absolutely do not want fat as it can go rancid very quickly. I usually use something like a london broil since its so lean. Once you have the meat…
  • 24 Feel free to add me as well!
  • I drink a lot of water if I feel like I'm getting cravings for junk food, seems to be working so far.
  • Whey protein is absorbed very quickly. Its great for drinking after a workout to get protein back into the body.
