I will do this. I am afraid of not accomplishing it, but I really want to try. I find I have little scale success so far! CW- 154 Goal weight- well for the month I'll make it 144 to meet the 10 lbs but overall I want to get to 120! What I will do- I walk/run (I try to run a bit at a time between walking) about twice a week…

I thoroughly enjoyed and was inspired by your story. Thank you so much for sharing it. You make it sound easy!

I love Ayurveda! I first heard about it from Deepak as well. Lots of good info and I totally believe it, it fits.

If you have the energy do a short workout. Usually after that I no longer want to eat. You can also change your night routine- go to bed earlier, if you usually watch TV don't watch TV- do something else, so that you can break the habit.

Well I know they burn quicker so you are hungry again sooner after eating them. I am guessing this is why. I think carbs also have an effect on mood which is why a lot of them are considered comfort food and so they have an addictive sort of quality to them as well.

After reading this I think I am going to buy a bottle of Fiji tomorrow! I must see what all this praise is about.

My tap water tastes awful too and I worry about some of the chemicals in it (and maybe they are in bottled water too but I prefer not to know). I seriuosly just buy the Shoprite or even Walmart (whatever store I am at) water and it tastes to me just the same as any of the others. Usually 3 or 4 dollars for 24 bottles.

Very inspiring. What a great job!

There seems to be a huge debate on whether starvation mode exists or not. I was eating under 1000 too for a couple of weeks and I felt fine but the scale did not move and this was with an hour of workout every day. I kept reading how people said your body cannot function properly on that low of calories but I kept doing…

Workout enough tomorrow to burn off those calories..or eat a little less each day to make up for it. You don't have to just have a deficit per day, you can have a deficit per week. So you can make up for it in the next few days either by a little extra exercise or a little less food.

u look great

My favorite way now is to make in the crockpot. I just rub seasoning all over it. It is moist and fall of the bone when it is done. To make the skin crispy you can put it under the broiled for a few minutes when you take it out. It is so flavorful and moist!!!!

I think you need to work up to 60 minutes. I read you have to do 30 to start burning fat. And if you want to lose weight you have to do 60. But you can't just do 60 right away. It takes time.. And you can lose weight and whatnot when you are starting out doing what you can and watching what you eat. Every week just push…

Someone recently posted a success story on here saying they used that and she lost a TON of weight. The reviews on amazon are really good including one by a medical doctor who approves the diet. I was considering getting it myself.

Do you need to lose weight? Maybe you are just turning what you have into muscle? I am not losing a bunch yet either. I gave up on the scale. I know I am stronger, healthier, and my clothes are getting looser so I am just going to keep going and check in a month or two.

I worry about that from time to time too b/c people say your body will not fucntion without hittig your BMR number. However, I think if you need to eat, your body will tell you by making you hungry.

It does not sound bad at all to me. You could just input all that into MFP and see what it says for calories, fat, sugar, etc. But to me it sounds just fine.
-
I do and I hope to keep it up. Feel free to add me anyone. This is my only support system for weight loss.

This is great and SO motivating! You look great, when you said you're still a work in progress I was shocked! Even in your first after shot I thought you looked great but you kept on going and wow- amazing!

FYI: Again they make no distinction between sugars- I think they should. " American Heart Association (AHA) recommends how much sugar per day we should take, the recommended daily sugar intake, which is healthy and not harmful for the body, has been developed for men and women. How much sugar per day should we take:…

Yeah it is a USDA thing. They recommend we have very little sugar and make no distinction between types of sugars. Off topic but kids are only supposed to have 12 grams of sugar per day. In the schools here they service breakfasts to the kids that contain 3 times that. Not only from juice and fruit but from pop tarts and…

^^This! Thank you.

I have wondered this as well!

KSR63- Yeah, that is another thing. I plugged in at first that I would work out 3X a week 30 minutes. So 1200 I assumed would create the 500 calorie deficit to lose 1lb per week. Now I am working out 5 days 60 minutes, but it still has me eating the same. And it tells me my BMR is 1351. It says I need 1661 to maintain my…

Oh I am exercising. I am kicking my butt every day! I am doing an hour 5 days a week and this past week I did at least 30 minutes of cardio on my rest days. I am doing cardio and just added in strength as well. quote] It's your BMR (Basal Metabolic rate) BMI is your Body Mass Index. You need to eat above your BMR, because…

I like protein shakes because they are an easy way to get a ot of protein and to add calories if I am under.

Wow that 17lbs makes a huge difference. Nice work.

I have been there and I think a lot of times once we "mess up" we figure we might as well keep going. It's self destructive. Now you have to detox from all that stuff. So it will be hard for a few days and you'll have cravings. It's like quitting smoking or quitting any chemical, you're quitting sugar and preservatives and…
