It should make you seek professional help for an obvious eating disorder...

Wow! Well Done!

I have this issue from time to time. First, I hand it to my wife, and in a stern voice, order her to clean it. :o After that, I apologize and pick up the gym bag from across the floor, make sure it's empty and wipe it out with a damp rag soaked in a mild solution of warm water and detergent. I set it out in the sun for a…

Ah Salute...but I need to juice it with fruit to keep it down. :)

Fanaticism is the brother of doubt and the enemy of science.

2 months is a reasonable length of time to lose 8 pounds. - Hey, whatever we need to do for added motivation, go fot it! - And good luck! - Also, start now with a solid plan to maintain once you win your bet.

You're on a fast track to derailed progress. Glad to hear you're rethinking things. Crash dieting may help you lose a bunch of weight only to pack it right back on plus a little more. Just follow the MFP recommendations for steady and lasting results. Eat clean, log all your foods and set your calorie intake to lose 1…

I suggest MFP to anybody who expresses an interest. Also, I link MFP to every mode of social media I engage. It's free, honest, supportive, flexible and non-dogmatic.

^^^ Wow, that was a great read! Welcome Carol!

I only wear jeans when rounding up cattle, line dancing or just knocking around town. For exercise?

I have a standing work station where that mini-trampoline fits nicely, but typing is a challenge...lol

Sometimes I don't feel like exercising, and I do it anyway. Food needs to be an item not dependent on your mood for eating. Just eat. My big struggle was not eating too much, because my mood for a solid food binge was every day. I resisted and learned to eat to goal. Your problem is similar, and there is plenty you can do…

Yep, commercials are great - love them now! - When I was fat, that's when I'd make a food run to the kitchen.
-
Ah, my wife does this too. :)

I feel you. Call this weekend x-mas, then start again Monday. I fail miserably in situations like this, so when faced with a similar situation, I either remove myself from the fray or just binge away and spend the next week recovering.

Right, if I train past 8pm, I am up walking the floors.

That's good! Maybe those watching TV 5 hours should consider this... :)

Some can't live without creating drama...lol The poor moderators must cringe with how some act with their flag finger.

For me, around 100 calories - 400 per hour...and I have a mini trampoline I use when the weather is bad or watching TV. The Boob-Tube is a great time to get in some light cardio...

I cut out most junk carbs from processed foods and went through a season of cravings and such. It passes. I obtain my sugars from a much healthier source: fruits and veggies. It's made a world of difference in my progress and results. Consider making fruit your staple when it comes to simple carbs. Good Luck! <3

That all depends on which neighborhood you live... B)

^^^ THIS RUN!

I don't know if this qualifies, but I draw inspiration from guys my age who are in peak condition. Randy is age 50, and this is a great ideal to strive toward.

That's huge progress - well done!

I brew up every morning my own concoction of fruit and veggie juice. That's what I drink in addition to water with a touch of lemon and some green tea. I mix kale, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, beets with blueberries, an apple and whatever else is laying around and available. I eliminated all sodas, booze and any type of…

Wow! Great progress...great inspiration!

You can do this - stay in the fight, keep the faith in yourself and you will finish the race a winner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxs-GmZguDc

Are you taking a break from it all every week? Sometimes we just need time off to rest and recover. And ease up on the weight loss. 1 pound per week should be a good goal for you in this effort. Sure, you could lose faster, but what would be the quality of that? You'd lose too much muscle which further slows metabolism.…

It's very healthy - no argument there, but count me out. I try to eat real, whole foods and succeed about 70% of the time. I try to focus on lean meats, fresh fruits and veggies, beans, nuts, whole wheat products and raw dairy. Modern processed foods are just junk, but hey, life is also to be lived. I want to strive toward…
