I must be the only one who thinks the shakes are just too sweet after a week?

I know how you feel - I did WW a few years ago and I couldn't make the meetings. I work 8+ hours a days and then I have my kiddos to take care of. I know it sounds like a bunch of excuses, but my hubby is gone about 3 nights a weeks which means I am a single parent on those days and I don't get done with everything until…

Thanks for all the suggestions - with kids it's hard finding time to work out during the day. I work full time too so the only time I get to work out is from 8:30pm to 9:30pm.

Oh my God, you are gorgeous! Bravo for your hard work! You are an inspiration to all of us.

I just put general aerobics, good question though. I wish there was a way to figure out how man calories you burn doing it.

I just started using it last week and I LOVE it. It's easy to follow and it makes you sweat! I bought the pack that came with a 4lb kettle bell and you look at it and think "Psha, really, 4 pounds" but when you do 10000 reps it really feels like it weighs a lot more!

I can't drink coffee without sugar and cream. I am addicted to sugar in everything. From what I read, you have to 'reset' what is considered sweet to your body. For example, an apple is really sweet but refined sugar is 10 times sweeter and artificial sweeteners (like splenda) are about 100 times sweeter. If I can get to…

Wow, I can't imagine what kind of sugar intake I am eating on a daily basis if 2 cups of fruit is more than 30 grams! Personally, my goal now is to cut out ALL refined sugar and not count the sugar from fruit. Does your body metabolize glucose/sucrose differently that fructose? I would like to know if I am on the right…

I feel your pain too. Although I am not a stay-at-home mom like you are, I know how busy it would be. If you live somewhere warm, try taking your kids out for walks in the stroller. There is a park about a half a mine from where I live and I ususally will walk there and back with them on the weekends. Losing the weight…

Also, I would add that I have experienced a lot of pain in my gut as well. I

I seems to help for me also, but I find it tedious! On the other hand, I find that I am cutting down my portions significantly. Doesn't it seem like 3 oz of chicken is hardly enough for dinner? I just feel hungry all the time! I think I will stop tracking once I have an idea of what a portion size should be and what I…

I LOVE indian food...one of my faves! Do you know any more recipes??
-
This is the COOLEST recipe I have seen! I emailed it to myself and I will try it tonight. I don't have any flaxseed flour, so I will be buying some on my lunch our. YAY!

I noticed that my daily protien is always high - and some days I won't eat any meat. What does taking in too much protein mean? Does that convert to fat if unused? Is it like a calorie in terms of what to keep low when tryin to lose weight?

When you say "bump" it brings the message back to the top of the list. Sometimes, messages and comments get lost in the fray (if they get old and lack a lot of comments). A BUMP comment will 'bump' it to the top.

I think our laws need to be amended. Considering that age discrimination only applies if you're over 40. Seriously? Also, I think companies should take a vested interest in their employees and encourage them to attain a healthy lifestyle.

Thanks! I will try that - I keep forgetting about adding cinnamon to things in the AM - a versatile spice that gets ignored in my spice rack. I need to buy some brown sugar. I have been adding Stevia to my oatmeal, but it makes it taste like medicine.

Wow, I am trying to hit 1,200 cal a day and I am STARVING. Maybe you're eating a lot of nutritionally packed food that keeps your feeling satisfied? I wouldn't necessarily eat MORE if you're feeling full - but I would make sure that you're not going to shock your metabolism. Seems like I burn fewer calories when I diet.
-
Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I will see if I can figure out how to open my food diary too.

It's interesting that you mentioned Diet Coke because I think you're so right! I stopped drinking today and already I can tell I have fewer cravings. I just had an apple as a snack and I hope it sustains me until lunch. I do need to watch the sugar content though. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm 5'3" and I weight between 135 to 140 lbs. I was 122 before baby. I don't care so much about the 'weight' in general, it's more of the excess flab around my mid-section. I can't afford new clothes right now and none of my older outfits fit me so I wear the same three pants and four shirts all week long. I will try to…

How do you keep your caloric intake so low and not get hungry? I have set my intake at 1200 per day and I LITERALLY start shaking - I get hypo-glycemic. I am getting frustrated because I can't seem to fit into ANY of my clothes after baby #2. I did lose some weight (not all of it) but the flab around my belly is horrible.…

I should probably weight myself at least once a week. I think I haven't looked at the scale in a month. I am going to try to do it daily and try not to get discouraged if I don't see the results on the scale.
