I don't know what your exercise plan is like. You might have to switch it up if you're not already. That can help with weight loss. Also make sure you're measuring your food accurately.
-
If you're clothes are fitting better you must be doing something right. Do you check your measurements? That's really helpful; relying on the scale alone doesn't give you an accurate picture of your progress.
-
I agree with others, you should probably see a sleep specialist. I sleep best when I get plenty of exercise during the day. But you shouldn't work out too close to bedtime, that can interfere with your sleep.

Pushups and other bodyweight exercises are great, but lifting weights is really helpful for weight loss. Building muscle is a good thingn, definitely not a waste of time! Start with what you can and work your way up. Once you can do more than 12-15 reps at a time it's time to increase the weight. Good luck.

You're eating too little. You're not overweight, and you risk missing out on nutrients at only 900 calories a day.

I run 12-minute miles. I'm slow but don't let it bother me. I don't run races, just do it to keep fit. I do add the occasional sprint for interval training.

Have you seen a doctor who specializes in pain management? IMO alcohol is not the best anesthetic, it is a depressant, and can make you feel worse in the long run. Eating clean is a great idea, and you can get great support on MFP. You can do this! Best wishes to you.

I don't think you're a good candidate for plastic surgery if you're underweight. Surgeons would probably turn you down. Being in recovery from an eating disorder is tough! Kudos to you for choosing recovery. You can't believe everything you read on the internet...just focus on your recovery. Weight gain can be uneven…

There's a lot of sodium in processed foods, cured meats, and chips and other junk foods. You need to check the labels. Personally I try to avoid lots of sodium because it makes me retain water.
-
I'm a vegan, nice to meet you! I feel great on a plant-based diet, doing it for ethical reasons, also have a delicate stomach and cannot digest heavy animal foods. Please join Team Vegan if you haven't already!

I try to limit salt only because it makes me retain water which is discouraging to me. But if there's no medical reason for you to avoid salt then don't worry about it.
-
Do you have a Fitbit or some other activity tracker? That would help you estimate your calories.

You sound like a perfectionist. Giving up after one junk food meal won't get you anywhere. I believe in the 80-20 rule, eat well 80 percent of the time and allow yourself little indulgences if they will keep you from feeling deprived. It's the big picture that counts and one mistake won't derail you if you pick yourself up…

Eat some real pizza if that's what you're craving. Just watch the portions and work it into your calorie allowance. Lean Cuisine pizzas aren't bad though.

I wouldn't run if you're trying to gain weight...especially with an irregular heartbeat. You should talk to your doctor, and get a referral to a nutritionist if you aren't seeing one already.
-
I need this too. My goal is to run more frequently and start heavy weight lifting, hoping this group will help me be consistent.

So I walked away

Welcome to MFP! You have been through a lot. Congrats on getting clean, that is awesome. As far as laziness, that's a tough one. Try taking small steps, like commit to walking 20 minutes a day for starters. Get your friends to exercise with you if possible, you can motivate each other to keep going. I'm a recovering…

Try heavy lifting. It'll work wonders on your metabolism. But you have to be patient. The fat on your tummy will come off in time if you lose weight. Calories-in-calories out is what counts. I don't eat junk food because it makes me feel crummy but that's just me.
-
Sounds nasty to me. Different strokes I guess...
-
Wow! You look great. You inspire me to get back into heavy lifting.
-
Feel free to add me.

I quit drinking because alcohol put a lot of weight on me... the empty calories weren't doing me any good. If you think it's hindering your weight loss definitely try giving it up and see if that helps.
-
Welcome! Yes you should eat back your exercise calories. If you log your food and exercise MFP will calculate your calorie needs for you, and let you know if you're getting the right amounts of carbs, protein and fat. Just make sure you measure/weigh all your food intake so you can get accurate feedback. I have a Fitbit…

I can't sleep on a full stomach, if I'm digesting food it interferes with my sleep. But I don't go to sleep hungry either or I'll wake up starving in the middle of the night. But calorie timing doesn't matter, as long as you're tracking everything.

I'm 5'2" with a small frame and weigh 88 lbs. But I'm anorexic. Healthy weight for me is 102-114 lbs but don't see myself going there.

Nuts, cheese, avocados. Those are heatlhy. But you really should talk to your doctor or a nutritionist.
-
Not to mention when your liver is processing alcohol that can interfere with the breakdown of fat.
-
A week is too early to tell. Make sure you measure everything and watch your sodium intake if you're not already. It might just be water retention. Easy does it and don't give up!
-
That's a lot of empty calories. You can work it into your calorie count but you might be missing out on nutrition.
