Pack a cooler for the road. Even if it’s just a lunch sized one. Cubed cheese, dry salami/pepperoni or babyel cheeses. Cut up some broccoli and cauliflower and pack some healthy dip so you still get veggies in. The awesome part of keto is being able to do a 14 hour road trip and not eat junk at every gas station stop, I…

I did a dry January with no problems and I felt awesome! Weight loss was steady and I had such clear thinking. This month I haven’t had any binge drinking but I still have 1 or 2 drinks several times a week. Since I’m keto those two beers or glasses of wine hit me extra hard. Also it’s slowing my weigh loss greatly even…

I’ve been keto since last July, although my habits and planning fell off from Oct. - Dec. I have lost a total of 25 lbs. Mostly I do this because of how it makes me feel. Brain fog, fatigue, constant hunger and snacking were all things that I was suffering from but when I eat a low carb, moderate protein and a high fat…

I'm on week 8 and down a little over 17 lb! Feel free to add me!

Following! I'm in my 6th week of eating a ketogenic diet and was shocked to find that I had I high blood glucose when I started (pre-diabetic range). Now most days my fasting blood glucose is around 82-88. I highly recommend checking out dr. Jason Fung's book "the obesity code". It has been life changing for me! I…

There is a guy with a YouTube channel and he has tons of great info and offers personal coaching on his website. I think it's called primal edge on YouTube. He is blonde and does all of his videos shirtless (*bonus). I learn so much there. Jimmy Moore podcasts, healthful pursuit podcast/YouTube and Jason Fung's audiobook…

That's so awesome. It's all the little things, that make a huge difference. Great job!

I love this story! Thanks for sharing! I have a half in 25 days and sometimes I feel like I won't be able to do it. I am glad you shared the part about your brother just telling you to go for it too!

I finish Insanity this weekend! All 63 days! I love it. Best part by far is how strong I've gotten. Also I've lost 18 lbs. My ticker doesn't reflect that because I never entered my highest weight. I've been on MFP for years, only occasionally utilizing. Now I am on over 65 days in a row of logging! Good luck to you! Just…

You lost 45 pounds and 25 years! Great job!

I would consult with your doctor. Most of the workouts are filled with lots of jumping. If you feel like you can do it, I would pay careful attention to form.

That's a true victory! Thanks for sharing! GOod job on not choosing bad foods after having a less then fun experience in the fitting room!

Amazing! You look younger too!

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing!!!!

Look at those legs!! Great work!

Congrats!! You look awesome!! I finish the first week of month 2 today, you are inspiring me to keep going!

Fast food is TERRIBLE! But this is a life style change, to say you are not going to eat fast food ever again is not realistic. You entered the calories and you have a great plan for the rest of your day. THose are the two most important things you could do. I say as long as you don't eat fast food so much that it derails…

Those are good articles, and I always enjoy reading your posts on here, but those studies are about osteo-arthritis. I don't think that all knee pain is osteo-arthritis. I'm not a doctor, or any type of expert

1 - talk to your doctor 2 - go to an actual running store and have them evaluate your stride and help you pick a good shoe 3 - Strength train your legs and core. This has helped me immensely. If you have strong quads, hamstrings, and calves, it will help protect your knees. Also, a strong core helps you run with good form,…

Great results!!

I was 200 when I started 6 weeks ago. I experienced everything that you did during my first fit test. I just kept pushing through. My calves were incredibly sore for about 2 weeks and the push-moves I am not the best at. I think that keeping a good form is super important. I think it's easy to get injured if you aren't…

Tomorrow I start month 2 of Insanity. I'm training for a 1/2 marathon in October, I've managed to run three times a week 3-5 miles each. I'm a little worried about this month because the workouts go from forty minutes to an hour long each. I just plan on ramping up my miles when I finish Insanity at the end of August. Good…

Glad you found your stride! I hope to one day get a sub thirty minute 5k! Also, I'm training for a 1/2 in October. I'll be happy to finish with no walk breaks

BE careful what you eat and how long before you run that you eat. I have to have a pretty much empty stomach.

I'm in week five, recovery week now. LOVE THIS PROGRAM! I've lost ten lbs and about ten inches all together!! My favorite part is that I just feel so strong and light on my feet. Even after years of running, this program is awesome! Good Luck

That's awesome! Almost made me tear up, when you said that about your Dad!
-
Yay! I'm so glad you girls started this!! I love hearing about everyone's experience with Insanity!

I opt for drinks that are easier to sip, aka plain vodka and water with a lemon or a lime. If you mix liquor with soda, be it diet or regular it's easier to down it. I also alternate a glass of water with every drink. White wine mixed with club soda, aka a spritzer is also a great choice. It's just like the food you…

I think it has a lot to do with where you live. People in the mid-west are so uptight and aren't used to seeing people run in appropriate athletic gear, but if you go to larger cities or the coast, it's so common. Here in the mid-west where I live the running paths are mostly deserted, or the people on them are just…

I'll be done with month 1 on Saturday!! So far I've lost 9 lbs and 10 inches total. My ticker is wrong because last time I used MFP (before the start of insanity} I was thinner than when I started Insanity. Anyway, I love it. I am becoming a stronger runner and I'm convinced the increases in endurance and speed during my…
