  • I never understood this "I can't stop" mentality. Yes, you can stop. You just have to have the desire to do so. You asked how you can get away from it. Don't buy it, it's as simple as that. Don't keep it in the house. If you're eating out, it's as simple as saying, "I'll have water, please." You may go through caffeine…
  • Lunch meats and cheeses are notoriously high in sodium, which stinks! I recently found low-sodium canned tuna and that made me very excited. Only 35mg of sodium for a serving!
  • I just started it two days ago. I plan to go up to P90X when I'm done, too. Though, I may consider the Power 90 Master Series first, which was designed as a bridge between the two. I'll know for sure as I progress more. Eventually, I will do P90X though.
  • Mine does it too when I wear it for over an hour. I've resorted to putting a folded paper towel between me and the hook.
  • I teach HS and they bring in stuff all the time. They know I'm all fitness-oriented now, so they try to bring in healthier things. It's cute. Or, if they want to bring in something decadent, I tell them to bring enough for the entire class. They don't get offended if I don't partake.
  • 1. Roasted beets -- peel, quarter, add some seasoning and roast at 400 until tender. 2. Take your leftover cold roasted beets, dice, toss with cold corn, diced cucumber, and some vinaigrette for a summery salad. 3. Steam your cauliflower (one head), add 1/3 cup plain greek yogurt, salt pepper, and use a hand blender to…
  • No, it doesn't. You'd want something like a Garmin that has GPS tracking in it as well to track your mileage.
  • I have a Polar FT4 for men, and when I was at my biggest (6'2" 314) the chest strap fit me fine.
  • I'm sure they have options other than fries. Maybe a baked potato? Who says you can't alter the stuff on the menu? If they have burgers, they have chicken sandwiches. You can ask for a grilled chicken breast.
  • I quit WW as well when I found this site. I liked the accountability of weighing in every week at a location. The meeting topics do get recycled, though. That's understandable because most people attend for just a couple of months, and I guess there's only so much you could talk about. What I disliked the most is that the…
  • There is no magic tip. You either want to reach your goal or you don't. If you really want to reach it, you log on the weekends. No excuses. If you can't get to a computer and don't have a smartphone, at the minimum carry around a sheet of paper and write down what you eat.
  • I love Abigail Rogue.
  • My favorites are the ones that were recommended to me after the folks at the running store analyzed how I ran, took imprints of my feet, and found the right shoe for me. You should do it too. Everyone's feet are different, so is the way everyone runs. What is a great shoe for someone else, may not be a great shoe for you.…
  • Hard-boiled eggs would be good for protein.
  • A true Tempur-pedic (not any old memory foam) will not lose its firmness, and it has a 20 year warranty in the rare case it ever should. Sleeping on one is like sleeping in heaven for me. i absolutely love it. I thought it would get hot, but it doesn't at all. Of course, everyone is different so you'll just have to try it…
  • Beat me to it. Hummus is an excellent sub for mayonnaise. It adds the creaminess that you're looking for.
  • The Hunger Games trilogy. Best thing I've ever read.
  • I do think you're over-thinking it. You don't eat these tacos every day, so all you can do is guess. I've learned in my time on this site that it's just not worth stressing out too much on whether or not I get things exact. I just approximate the best I can. If you're concerned about the oil, add a tsp of oil to your…
  • You've already done the work.... two corn tortillas guesstimate the amount of chicken breast Voilà. Tacos are the easiest things in the world to count for calories.
  • Flavored almonds. The Lime n' Chili from Blue Diamond are to die for.
  • The Hunger Games trilogy. It's a must-read.

  • My shirt is completely soaked when I'm done at the gym. And now that there's no hair on my head to catch the sweat up there, it just runs down my face. If anyone is looking at you because of your sweat, they're only thinking, "Wow..what a hard worker!".
  • Folks, you can see that her amounts for the ingredients weren't exact. The nutrition info is going to depend on how much you put in, which greek yogurt you use and how much, what kind of pasta you use, and how much vegetable you choose to add.
  • You could always just get back on track and not weigh yourself.
  • Have you tried the Polar website?
  • I think if that REALLY worked, it'd be a much more popular product than it is. You may lose an inch, but as soon as you have a beverage or two or eat an ounce of salt, you'll get it back.
  • No, because points are based on many aspects of the nutritional information. But, you can input all of the ingredients on the recipe builder here and you'll have the caloric info.
  • I haven't heard of one. I say just get the Polar FT4 and keep it separate.
  • We learned it by watching you!
