I am so thankful for the fabulous friends I have on MFP and their vast knowledge that allows me to mostly get answers from those who are supportive!

Mine does - shows intensity. It won't show as floors climbed because you aren't actually going up. I have the Ultra. Love it. As someone else said, I had no idea how little I moved. Now I find reasons to get more steps in!

I was shocked to learn that those who lose weight the traditional way, you know, "on their own?" Failure rate is 95% - but with surgery is 15-20% failure. I've been the 95% and working to stay out of the 15-20%.

I think what many people here are missing with the "Lose it the old fashioned way" tone is that many of us HAVE lost it that way, and gained it back, lost it again that way, gained more back, etc. I think you would be hard pressed to find many people who have had weight loss surgery that haven't tried, had some success,…

I am sorry you feel that way. I can't imagine being in the public eye. Someday when you can look back at those photos and where you make it to, you will feel pride in what you have accomplished and where you came from weight wise. Best of luck!

This is a great website for % of macros depending on the type of diet you want to do - you need to put in your own calorie number though. http://www.freedieting.com/tools/nutrient_calculator.htm

This is funny because I just went to the Lean Cuisine site and the McDonald's site and looked at the sodium - all of the grilled wraps at McD's have between 650-700 sodium, LC meals range from 390-720. So if it is sodium you worry about, there are lots of options. Have your LC meal with that side salad and you will…

Weight Watchers new Points Plus focus' on protein and fiber higher, fat and cabs lower. All fruits and non starch veggies are 0 points. It is a great program and very helpful if you need support face to face. I am currently in lifetime status and meetings are free for me. I don't do points but track here, however I go to…

I can see a difference! They say that if you carry most of your weight in one area that is the last weight to come off. I can tell you of the weight I have lost, the last 30 lbs was more noticeable to me than the first 90! My advice - keep smaller clothes in your closet - go pick up some things at a thrift store - and try…

I would say it wasn't one food but the amount I ate of the foods I liked. Portion control is key. Moderation.

Completely agree! If it's protein you're looking for, much better options out there!
