Brand new macros as of tonight - looking to cut 1612 cals 134p 59f 136c

I didn't set these numbers, I met with a nutrition counsellor over the weekend who set them for me - and I'm 157lbs currently so the protein is pretty close to 0.8g per lb. I haven't been losing at the rate I should be given my activity level so this is what's being recommended, I just don't know what it looks like yet and…

I did, they're fine on the goals page but all messed up on the pie chart. I actually had to update online, it wouldn't stick on the app, there must be a glitch in the latest update.

I'm 5'4 and my goal is 135 - that's what I was 10 years ago. Looking at the way weight is coming off now, I'm not sure I want to be 135, I think I might look unhealthy (My profile pic is 5lbs lost 167 & 162) I'm currently at 157 and I don't see 20 more to go.

I purchased the MisFit Shine - so far I like it (I've had it for 2 days) but it seems to track pretty well. It doesn't do stairs, but it does do cycling (you clip it to your shoe) and it can be worn a bunch of ways.

I'm just about to order the MisFit Shine right now. I like the extra few features is has and I love the metal look. I want steps, stairs, cycling, sleep - I have a HRM so I'm less concerned about that - I don't have a problem wearing the HRM when I work out, I want something that will also track everything I do during the…

Hi Bees! I think I already have some of you as friends but please add me! I'm 5'4 and currently 155lbs I'd like to be 135lbs for the wedding May 17, 2014 I call myself a bottom heavy hourglass. I'm not really a pear, but I have too much hip to really be an hourglass. No matter what weight I've been my proportions have…

Today is day 2 for me of phase 1. Today is a little harder than yesterday but so far so good. I did it last summer and I'm not finding it quite as hard (yet). But we'll see. I have been bad about not eating breakfast, but then I never eat breakfast...

whenever I feel like it. Usually every 2 weeks or so, but sometimes more. I used to take progress pictures every 2 weeks at the same time of day in a bikini (not a pretty picture but at least you can see your body) and I found it really motivating. I could see all the small changes because I had bi-weekly snapshots showing…

I have 23 more to go to hit my goal! Feel free to add me!

I avoid anything labelled low fat and try and eat 'real' food as often as possible - butter over margarine etc... low fat is generally not healthy and I find it often leads me to gain weight.

I agree with you completely, one of the worst things our family and friends can do is de-motivate. You obviously know you have some work to do, they should support you. I am sure you are a beautiful person and that is all they're trying to tell you. Next time they say something like this to you, you need to look them in…

Don't do this. It's a terrible idea. There are much better ways to lose weight. Consuming nothing but water for 10 days is a great way to end up passing out and having yourself admitted to the hospital and force fed - and I'm sure you don't want that. There are lots of healthy ways to lose weight, but anything that gives…

**want to find this later, curious about this topic, debating it myself....**

curious - are you referring to packages foods with nutrition labels or things like fruits and veggies?

Make sure your doctor knows what your goals are AND the amount of exercise you're doing. S/He may say 1200 calories a day but if s/he doesn't know that you're doing this much activity then it might be a problem. Your body will go to starvation mode if it feels you're not eating enough.

I'm not a football fan but I might end up going to a party. It'll be hard to avoid all the yummy snacks (pizza, beer, chips...) it's so easy for 1 handful to become 10 and you don't even realize it! Don't go hungry and pace yourself. Get small plates and eat slowly!

I would also like to know the answer to this question :) I'm debating getting one.
-
no advice, but I want to follow this as I have similar concerns

It's strange, when I was really active and in really good shape (ages 13-21) after a workout I wasn't hungry, didn't matter. If I'd just played a 90 minute soccer game I could not eat. Now I'm almost 30, extremely out of shape (and about 50 pounds heavier) and I'm ravenous when I get home. I'm not sure I'm really hungry…

I know there are a lot of posts about HRM's but they all that are coming up when I search are questions about accuracy and specific brands, I couldn't find one about which one people like - I'm not saying it's not there but I couldn't find it. MFP's search tool could use some work.

it sounds like you're not eating enough calorie rich food. If you're surviving on fruits and veggies that are mostly water, although you may feel like you're full you are essentially starving your body of nutrients. Try adding in nuts, avacados, or some cheese.

also, check out www.simplegreensmoothies.com they have great recipes and ideas. My favourite is Beginners Luck 1c. Water 1/2 c. frozen mango 1/2 c. pineapple 1 Banana 1c. Spinach
-
blend the spinach and water first so it's smooth, then add everything else.

You're starving yourself. I know when I have days when I eat too little, if I complete my entry the diary pops up and tells me I've not eaten enough. You need to eat more veggies and fruits and lean proteins.
