I get what you are going through completely!! I get a lot of flack for counting calories. I however, have an even further complication. I have been eating gluten free for the last 6 months due to terrible stomach issues, so not only do I count calories but there is an entire multitude of food I won't go near under any…

I have the Polar FT4 that i've only had for a week, but I would say it's pretty accurate. I'm not new to working out or counting calories so I had a somewhat accurate guess on some of my home workouts, but now the guessing game is over. It add's a whole new element of training that I've never used before, and quite frankly…

I have a major sweet tooth so I also cut up an apple and eat it with a tablespoon of peanut butter. It fills me up and instantly satisfies my sweet craving. I am also a huge coffee/tea drinker, in the evenings I make a pot of decaf or a cup of tea and it helps fill me up.

Don't get discouraged!! Very recently I had posted a similar post frustrated and not understanding why the scale wasn't moving. It took about a month of a steady weight training routine for my body to get used to it and allow the weight to come off. Now I am losing at a decent rate and am back in the grove so to speak. I…

My wedding is late January 2014, 2 weeks in the Bahamas so i'm desperately trying to get into bikini shape. I've amped up my workouts to 5xweek doing a combination of weight training and cardio! Have done WW in the…

From all of the research that I've done, and between similar discussions on other web forums most people are in agreeance that eating below your BMR can actually be dangerous. This is how many calories your body would need to survive if it was in a comatos state. If you are adding activitiy etc. you have to be very careful…

My wedding is January 22, 2014!! Been having such a hard time losing weight so it's been really disheartening. Gluten intolerant for about 4 months now, looks like I am one of those unlucky people whose body is absorbing everything instead of dropping weight. Been doing weight watchers the last 4 weeks with no loss. Going…

Okay very intersting, I know my BMR is roughtly 1550 so I was surprised even as "Sedentary" that the MFP calculator had me well below this. I really don't think I could sustainably do this eating less than 1550 especially while working out, I think I will stick to 1600 calories as a base and eat some of my workout calories…

PS. Also put in the system that I wanted to lose 1 lb. a week, not 2?
