I find I have the same problem! During the week, I"m working 12 hour shifts and plan all my meals ahead but on the weekend we tend to go out with friends, travel away from home and on Sunday were just lazy! Every Monday, I dread that scale after working so incredibly hard all week. Ughh!

Oh you give me hope! I have recently decided to try running & have signed up for a 5K in July. I'm kinda freaking out that I am not going to be able to run it. I would love any helps/ideas/suggestions you have to throw my way! I too am 220lbs, 5'10 and totally not a runner!

Walking/Sprinting (intervals) is better than plain walking - better cardio & you will burn more calories. I adjust my HRM with weight loss otherwise it's not as accurate.

Ugh, I am with you. Have had surgery on my left knee and lately have been having trouble with my right :( Getting very discouraged not being able to do squats or lunges without significant discomfort. I too am looking for alternatives.

I disagree. It's the same MPH yes, however if your "running" at 4.5 because your legs/stride are shorter, your expending more energy, increasing your HR and burning more calories

I use a HR monitor and usually use the treadmill so it's not an issue but there is a free app called Run Keeper that is ment to use outdoors. Just turn on your GPS and it tracks your miles, pace, etc. Not sure if it's 100% but seems pretty accurate. Good luck!

I did not have any noticable difference (inches wise) & quite honestly not even sure why I ever even remotely thought they would work, just like every other "fad" diet/pills/wraps etc I guess.. One thing I did notice was that my skin felt amazing and was silky smooth/soft.... but honestly not worth the money, a good lotion…

I am a red wine drinker myself and if I have one glass I account for it in my daily calories. On the weekend if were going out or having a get together, I stick w/ vodka or rum (about 70 calories per shot) w/ flavored seltzer water, fresh lime and literally a dash of lite cranberry juice. I use plain greek yogurt (lots of protein) almond milk, fresh fruit. Sometimes peanut butter & half of a banana or sometimes even unsweetened cocoa powder if I want chocolate. Sooo yummy. So many things you can add as well-- flaxseed, chia seeds, wheatgerm, almonds/walnuts or whatever you like.
