Great insights! Thanks everyone! :)

I have heard an actual plateau described as more then 4 weeks with no lbs OR inches lost. Sometimes the body loses weight, sometimes body fat, sometimes its working on getting physically smaller.. so many here want instant results and think they stalled after days.. I think it is important to remember that results for a…

I had lost over 100lbs about 8 years ago and kept it off until gaining about 30 back in the past couple of years. It was a slow creep and I allowed it. And here I am... My plan this time is to keep accountability. When I get to maintenance, I plan to continue to weigh weekly (lol daily is really my compulsion which I do…

Glad you peeked out to share.. AWESOME milestone!

I like this thread and actually understand both sides. Sometimes i'm not that hungry (which boggles my mind as a small meal like I enjoy now used to just "wake the beast"). That being said.. I do an average of net calories each week. I read about the zig/zag of ups and down calorie days and how it keeps your metabolism…

Carbs or mock sweet things totally trigger my hunger too. I'm not saying to avoid them because they add balance to your diet.. but add some higher fiber green veggies or protein works too curb the cravings so on your cracker add .. some tuna, piece of chicken or turkey, hard boiled egg ..

They say... Coffee with Cream and Sugar Small - calories 120 and with just cream is 60 (so thats like 60 in sugar) ... interesting.…

My mom has this issue too. Its hard. I suggest doing upper body/arm stuff... close to the heart is aerobic. Look for upper body exercises. I don't know if you watched Biggest Loser but there was that guy who couldn't do anything lower body for weeks. He did air sparing and did great with weightloss.

The calories set 1400 daily have been working for me. I like others here zig/zag the net calories though. I do it because I have more eat out/drink wine opportunities on the weekends. So I eat less then my net goal during the week and slightly more on weekend nights. It balances to an average of 1400 daily. I chose 1lb…

Without knowing how they prepare foods.. I can guestimate based on Olive Garden and Maggiano's nutritional menus. If they have a broth based soup - usually a cup is between 150-200 calories and good to fill you up a little. Best choices are usually a grilled chicken or fish (ask if they can sub the side of pasta for mixed…

I agree with you there is no easy way .. the rules are simple. Even when I successfully low carbed for years (which I lost over 100lbs about 8 years ago and did gain back 30 in the past 2 which is why i'm here). I could not sustain that way of eating for life - my choice. BUT.. when I look back I was working out and eating…

I'm not low carbing so if its within my calories that day and I want it.. I eat it!

I do too but this site has helped at least push me in a positive way toward my obsession. Instead of mindless food thought, now I plan meals, snacks, calories.. run each through before I decide what I want.. if its early plan less so I can eat again. Oh yea.. def an obsession. LOL

Usually I eat between breakfast and lunch for about 500 calories (breakfast usually about 225).. I like to leave a lot for evenings because i'm a snacker. My dinner/snacks run every couple of hours in the evenings. Though.. I go out for meals with friends often, so those days (and weekends) I eat as light as possible so…

Click on the persons profile. If they have their food diary set as viewable you will have a tab to choose. View away! :)

If it was a true gain I would. I do not count water bouncing.. i'm up 3 in the night from the morning sometimes or after big salty meal or drinking or TOM. That takes 2-3 days to level out then back to lowest weight again.

I really dig diet soda. I have maybe one a day (I do try to drink lots of water too) .. I do feel a little air/bloat with the carbonation, but I dig it and i'm still losing so ..

Reminds me of Friendly's sundae topping a bit but 1 TBS on a multigrain waffle fills me up.

I wasn't a fan of that seafood dish personally (tasted not fresh to me) but I love the Zuppa Toscona which was 170 calories (was THRILLED a fav was less calories then a "serving" of their salad) and each breadstick with their yum oily topping is 150. Next time i'm planning to check out the Venetian Apricot Chicken for 380…

My personal theory is that if you consider this a diet and binge occasionally you continue the yo yo way of thinking. Do as you do today, as you will do when you get to goal. Live in the present not wait for tomorrow when I get/have/am... I would enjoy food as you should be now, be conscious of portions and own your…

I don't know that one. I have tried some of the free 10 minute workouts on Netflix/instant. I like the target toning for beginners at the moment... good sweat and muscle burn. Probably not has high octane as others here but workouts are personal.

My diary is open and I zig/zag to make my weekly calories net 1400 daily. NOTE: I eat out often with others and drink too much wine (all counted in my calories) on Fridays. Its how I live and i'm making this way of eating work for me without making it feel too much like a diet as I want to keep it all off!! . :-)

I'm with you.. Panera with their open calorie counts and filling lower cal meals totally ROCKS!
