Add me! I just started keto as well - 1 week ago today. I've lost about 5 lbs so far and almost never feel hungry... super weird feeling after being constantly hungry most of the time.

Lemon, cucumber.

Try 'standing crunches'.

No thanks. I'll pass. I'd rather eat 87 calories' worth of expensive Belgian chocolate, which tastes like Heaven and is too rich and expensive to allow me to get more than a couple of bites.

I can tell you from personal experience that sugar cravings will diminish over time. If you stop sugar (refined, added sugars), the first week to 10 days is absolute hell, but if you can get through that initial shock to the system, your cravings will be greatly reduced. On the flip side, though, it only takes one or two…

Just be careful with the sugar alcohols... They have a laxative effect if eaten in more than tiny quantities! (although they are great when you're constipated!)

Just don't like the way 200+ pounds feels. I've never been this heavy (except right before I gave birth to my third child)... Extra weight feels awful.

Thanks for the laugh! My sore abs are keeping me from laughing too hard, but I can laugh on the inside! ;)

I'm bipolar. I've recently come out of a major depressive episode (that lasted about 6 months) during which I gained about 35 pounds. I've always said I wouldn't let BP stop me, but this time it did and I didn't realize what was happening until the depression started lifting. I've got a few other challenges, but Bipolar is…

Whoever told you that is an idiot and thus should be stricken from your memory. Wear what makes you happy. :D

OH a few things I hear AT HOME ALL THE TIME! (I know better, by the way) "I used [a whole stick of] real butter so it's OK" "If you cook ground beef long enough, the fat cooks away so you don't have to drain it." "Of course I used a lot of butter in the mashed potatoes - it just soaks in anyway" "It's…

"Have you tried colloidal silver?" :|

Oh man can I relate!! I'm 5'7" and currently around 201 lbs. My husband is 5'6" and MAYBE 135 dripping wet. He's always been a smaller build than me, and I have to constantly remind myself of that. I have almost always been larger than him, even when we got married 24 years ago. I was still at least 10-15 lbs heavier than…

Yeah - everything above, plus don't be too hard on yourself! An occasional overindulgence isn't going to derail your efforts unless you let it. Just go back to your plan, and if you really feel badly about it, lower your calorie goal by 100 for the next week or so.

Hi! This is me to a T... 42 and need to lose about 60 pounds .

Yup... trotting along the path, just bawling my eyes out. Haven't had it happen at the gym yet, but I've gotten close.

Most likely, yes. I'm not sure I would WANT to survive, at least during the first few weeks, but I would. I can grow a garden, identify poisonous snakes and plants, distill water, build and tend a fire, cook over said fire, hunt (if I really had to), build a snare, catch and clean a fish, sew by hand, knit/crochet but I'm…

I ran my first half marathon in the rain :) It was amazingly refreshing.

I don't know how easy it would be where you live, but trail or road running outdoors really takes the monotony out of running. I run much farther doing that and don't get the burnout you describe since I can vary my routes. I live in Texas, though, and realize that we are blessed with pretty good running weather (except…

Hi! Nerd mom here! Mom of nerds AND nerd myself - verified and attested to by multiple, unrelated parties, LOL! I'm a programmer, Linux sysadmin, Whovian, Trekkie, CON goer, RPG player, former LARPer.. Would love to cosplay, but I think I might be too old for that (nah?)..

In case anyone is prepared for some "light" reading... The following is Testimony before Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, United States Senate given by James Sherk, Senior Policy Analyst in Labor Economics…

I usually do my planned workout, but if I'm especially crampy or the flow is really heavy, I'll skip anything really high-impact - more to prevent messes than anything... (LOL, talk about TMI...)

I'm right there with you! I'm starting over as well, with an extra 2 pounds over last time. life has its ups and downs, and I guess that includes weight. Bleh. We can do this!

I feel your pain! I gained my weight back, plus an extra 2 pounds. I'm going to try again. As for your husband losing more/faster.. men tend to do that. It's annoying and infuriating, but their bodies are different. Their metabolism is different. All I can say is don't compare yourself to him. My husband weighs 130 lbs…

Count me in!! Perfect timing for me seeing this post today! I am getting ready to spend September working on core strength, so this fits right in!

Right there with you, girl! I'm currently struggling to come out of my latest slump. There have been several. I think it's normal - you just have to have faith that it's temporary... That doesn't mean don't try - just give yourself a break, and listen to your body. You could be fighting off a virus... PMS... who knows?…

Hi everyone! I started taking a beginner's bellydance class in January 2005 at 31 years old, and have been hooked ever since! I craved every bit of information I could get - movements, technique, combos, music, history, costuming, etc. I constantly want to improve and I LOVE to perform! I'm a member of a dance troupe in…

I was shocked too, but I don't mind the calorie count in bananas because I use them to stave off dessert cravings... Better to fill up on 120-130 cals by eating a banana than to have 500-600 cals on a slab of cake... For some reason, bananas work for me. (most of the time...)

The Java Chiller from Sonic! 530 calories for a 14oz with mocha and whipped cream.. I stupidly thought - = the ice cream is cut with espresso, so that would make it a little better than a shake... right? WRONG! I used to get one of those every other day... Now I get the mini size, no whip (350 cals) about once a month.. :'(
