Going to have to give this one a try. Sounds like a great way to satisfy a chocolate craving.

Awesome post! Very true and inspiring! Definitely needed that this morning. Thanks!

Hello there and welcome to MFP. I am a bit older than you but feel free to add me. I've been at this journey off and on for a year and a half. I am back at it again and hoping to stay motivated longer this time. Good luck in your journey to a new improved you! Oh and congrats on your upcoming wedding.

You look great! Congrats on your NSV!

Amazing! The best part is you look so much happier. Congrats!

This^^^^. It isn't magical like in the movies but I do believe it exists. I've only been with my husband 7 years but I truely believe he is the one for me. I couldn't ask for anyone better.

I'm curious about this also. I try to work out once in the morning and then once in the afternoon. Since I've changed to doing it twice per day I seem to be meeting my exercise goals. I seem to dread going and staying in the gym for an hour or more at one time.

Welcome. This is a great site with tons of good, supportive people. Feel free to add and good luck on your journey!

I'd go by the scale that I use most of the time. I was away this weekend and used a friends scale, it showed a 6 pound loss (I only wish). They were both digital but I guess scales can just vary that way. Hard to believe how much though.

I met my husband on Eharmony 7 years ago. We've been happily married 4 years now. As someone else said it's a great way to meet someone outside of your normal "friends of friends." It can be a great experience but as with anything else always be careful where you meet someone and take precautions. Good luck to you!

My wii balance board has always been different than my scales but it is a consistent 3 pounds difference. I continue to use my wii balance board for my official weigh in because when I started MFP that is all I had. I use my digital scales to monitor my weight between official weigh in days. My suggestion is to pick one to…

Same here. Love the Wii! I use my treadmill for the majority of my exercise, but I also do the wii fit for added movement. I agree it doesn't exactly feel like a workout, but any movement is better than nothing.

I've experienced that same thing in previous times of dieting. This time I've done the whole thing differently. My suggestion is do not try to be perfect. If you want something such as chocolate or chips (whatever you like) then let yourself have a little. Do not deny your body something that it is craving because from my…

I have a Horizon T100. I don't run on it, but I walk just about everyday. It seems to be very sturdy and well made. I paid 399 for it a couple months ago. I have been extremely pleased with it, tho.

Welcome! I wish you all the best in your journey. My advise is to be accountable for your food and exercise choices. I found that if I log my foods, even bad choices, I am much more aware and tend to make better choices.

I think those are great ideas. Thanks for the tips.

The first one! Cute dress.

Great job! Definitely gives me motivation. Congrats on your sucess.

Welcome! My suggestion is to log your food (even your bad days). I have found that as I have logged good food choices and bad, I am more aware. Being more aware of what I am eating helps me to avoid real bad choices. My other suggestion is do not deprive your body of anything you crave. If you want chocolate, then have it.…

Welcome to MFP. It is a great way to keep track of your calories. I know that being aware of what I was eating really helped me to change my eating habits. Best of luck to you in your journey to a heathier you. Just remember if you slip up... don't quit. No one is perfect and the longer you keep at this the better choices…

I had complained constantly about my weight and how unhappy and miserable it made me feel. One day that light bulb went off and I decided that I could either continue to complain or do something about it. So the last week of July this year I decided to start my journey. This is the longest I've ever dieted. I usually diet…

I had the same problem just a few minutes ago. I went to the vending machine and decided on the baked lays bbq chips. For me, it is okay to get a snack if i feel hungry. I am just trying to make better choices. I would have liked to have had the candy bar but would have definitely hated myself for it later. We can't be…

I have a desk job as well. I try to walk around a bit to stay active. Also, we are in a 3 floor building so I often take the stairs instead of the elevator.
-
I find myself doing the exact same thing. I've always heard that protein is good for you. Would like to hear input on this one as well.
-
Welcome and good luck. I am sure you will do great. Once I finally decided I was tired of being overweight and decided that I was the only one who could do anything about it I was able to really start a diet and stick with it. Just remember you can do this!

Just trying to bump this topic to see if I can get any responses.

I do not want to put my body into starvation mode but if I eat back the calories that I burned from exercise it just seems like I'm exercising for nothing. This seems to be one of the things about exercising that is the most confusing.
