  • We've got a boy!!!! It has definately helped me to connect more with the baby knowing the gender! And, especially my husband. Plus, now we've been going out to look at cribs and bedding (I might try my hand at making a quilt since nothing is striking my fancy) and carseats, and strollers.. and you know - everything! We've…
  • Hey all! I haven't been logging.. but not gaining too much either. I'm 18 weeks now and up 8 pounds. I feel okay with this.. I do want to log again - strangely I miss it. I've just been lazy/busy I guess. We go for the gender scan on Thursday!!! I'm soo hoping for a cooperative baby!! I'd love to have some more preggo…
  • Has everyone picked names out yet? If it's a girl, I have my heart set on Beth-Ann (although my husband and I disagree on if there should be a middle name or not).. I decided on that name when I was a little girl after my mom and grandmother. And, luckily my husband loves it too :) Now, for a boy, my husband and I barely…
  • I'm 13 weeks, my dr has cleared me to do whatever exercises I want at this point. She stressed the importance of exercise and she said walk/run/dance whatever.. so, I'm back to my slow walk/jogging and zumba.. and when it's too much, I modify...
  • Exna - I mostly feel fat too lol. I've gained 4 lbs.. and I'm trying to adjust to gaining positively lol. It definately helps me to work out - even though most days I try to talk myself out of it lol. OrienMoon - Welcome!! That's so exciting that you're feeling movements. I'm just noticing that my belly is starting to…
  • Hello 2nd Tri Friends!! I'm freshly 2nd tri at 12 weeks 6 days.. I had my ultrasound last week - which was great.. heartbeat of 170!! That little baby was squirming like crazy - apparently doesn't like his/her pic taken lol. I'm anxious to get my baby bump - right now all 4 pounds that I've gained are belly, but it's not a…
  • Hey all! Due December 20th (with our first) - I would really love to be home with baby for Christmas, but in reality, what I want doesn't really matter because I believe a baby comes when a baby decides to come! Feel free to friend me - I'd love to make some fellow preggo friends :)
  • freckle - sorry for what you are going through.. a few months before my pregnancy I was so sure that I was pregnant.. got the bloodtest and it was negative, every home test was negative, but I was so convinced.. my period was 11 days late, and every day and negative test was agony. I thought I was going crazy. Every day…
  • Hey all!! I'm so glad to find these groups. I'm trying to not to obsess, but I'm just very worried about gaining too much. I'm 11 weeks now and have gained 2 to 3 pounds depending on the day.. I'm pretty okay with that.. I don't have a number goal in mind, since my main concern is healthy, but I do want to be healthy.
  • I too am having a hard time being truly excited about my pregnancy. We tried for a long time, and I just knew in my heart that I was completely ready. I finally got pregnant, and I am excited, but I almost don't believe it. My husband and parents are dying with excitement.. and I'm just waiting for something to go wrong. I…
  • I completely hear you with the body issues!! I've gained 2ish pounds, but I feel completely disgusting!! I am going to the gym today and VERY excited lol.. I've been so tired, I've only been a few times since I found out.. I too should have lost a lot more weight before getting pregnant, but you know what, stuff happens..…
  • Unfortunately, whether we like it or not, that scale will be moving.. upwards.. I'm trying to take it as best as I can.. If you're eating healthy and exercising, I wouldn't worry so much about it. That baby needs a lot of nutrients!! I refuse to be one of those women that gets pregnant and "goes crazy eating whatever I…
  • I had been eating 1500 - 1700 which is my bmr/tdee.. I discussed it with my dr, and she said it's fine to continue that. I have been too exhausted to exercise much, but I can't wait to get back to the gym, it makes a world of difference. I am 10 weeks and have gained 2 pounds.. and, I'm pretty much okay with that. I know…
  • Definately planned.. We stopped birth control a year and half ago, my husband had back surgery last summer so before and after definately weren't exactly trying. I was starting to get discouraged and got ovulation test strips and the first month of using them, bam! I'm not having a lot of symptoms though, so it's hard to…
  • Hey All!! I just joined the group today, and I'm very excited to meet some friends going through the same :) I'm about 10 weeks along (haven't had my ultrasound/date scan yet) so, looking at prob Dec 20 2013 due date. I don't have too many symptoms... with the exception that I am COMPLETELY EXHAUSTED ALL THE TIME! I do get…
  • I am right there with ya!! I've only gained 2 lbs, I'm 9 weeks.. and I feel gross. Working out does help.. but it definately comes back after every meal and especially at nighttime!! Just trying to wait it out. It took me a long time to conceive and I had promised that I would enjoy even the not-so-fun parts of pregnancy…
  • I'm currently 9 weeks along.. I talked to my dr, and she said between 1500 - 1700 per day is fine for me...
  • I'm not pregnant.. but my husband and I are trying to conceive.. I'm interested in any responses...................... :)
  • Thanks for posting! I've never done WW, but I've seen people get results with it.. I've not lost in months and months, and I'd be willing to give it a try!
  • Of course!! I feel it when the scale just doesn't move, no matter how hard I feel like I'm trying. But you know what, it's certainly not going to change if I don't get up!! My theory is this - if I can look in the mirror and be happy, I don't have to do it.. so far that hasn't happened yet. I still have days where I talk…
  • bump - great ideas!!
  • I actually found that once I started eating at least 1200 cals a day I dropped 1lb a week for 8 weeks.. I've reached a plateau since then.. but what I understand is that you will gain at first until your body kinda trusts that you will keep feeding it. Make sure the food you are eating is healthy and make sure you are…
  • I'm not a very big believer in the BMI.. I think you should maybe keep track of your body fat percentage, that seems more accurate to me. I agree that you should lose until you feel comfortable.. it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks anyway, this is about you and how you feel!
  • I LOVE zumba.. I used to do it in the gym, and now I have the wii game, which I do like, but it's not the same as the gym.. I have heard of people losing massive amounts with zumba.. I found I definitely feel it especially in the love handle region.. I don't have any measurements to give you, cause I don't do it…
  • Lots of movies make me cry, but.. P.S. - I love you - from the first scene to the last total cryfest! and The Story of Us
  • I've done both.. I did 30DS first.. and a few times (I don't follow the every day gig.. I just do it as a workout).. In some ways I prefer the ripped in 30.. it's really the same idea of muscle confusion and circuit training.. I think you'll do fine! Don't get me wrong, it is intense, and it is a workout, but in comparison…
  • Was heavy as a teen.. lost a ton of weight (started waitressing, stopped eating) gained the freshman 15, then went on a medication and gain 30 more.. went off the medication, lost 5, and struggled with starvation mode ever since.
  • yay for you!! the weight comes off much easier in the beginning.. so don't get discouraged.. but you know, you got to do this for you and for your life!!
  • I saw a post on here for a 4 min workout.. maybe you might like it: 20 sec Squat Thrust 10 sec Rest 20 sec Mountain Climbers 10 sec Rest 20 sec High Knees 10 sec Rest 20 sec Jumping Jacks 10 sec Rest 20 sec Squat Thrust 10 sec Rest 20 sec Mountain Climbers 10 sec Rest 20 sec High Knees 10 sec Rest 20 sec Jumping Jacks 10…
  • wow!! I am so impressed with you guys!! amazing! it really shows what a lot of hard work can do!! I am not very proud to say that I have not worked very hard. Due to a stressful back surgery for my husband the end of July, I have fallen into bad habits, and fallen out of exercise. I do not want to post my pics AT ALL!…
