We just completed the first 22 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Started at the Nimblewell Access trail to Springer Mountain and went to Woody Gap. We used a Sawyer for the first time last week hiking the AT in Georgia and loved it! It was so quick and easy to use. We normally use the Katadyn Hiker filter, but in Florida the water is either slow moving or stagnant, so it is very necessary for good filtration.
