I lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks on a very restrictive diet, although I am significantly overweight so it is quote-unquote "easier" for me to lose weight. If 25 pounds will put your at your goal weight I would not assume that you will be able to lose it that quickly, otherwise you set yourself up for disappointment.

A chocolate protein shake. Deliciously creamy.

I'm in the same boat you are, MFP is a great tool! I've lost over 40 pounds here before and fell off the wagon, I've been back for a week or so and already down 9 pounds! The key to success is lots of support! Take it one day, one pound at a time and before you know it, your goal is in sight. :flowerforyou:

I shave my arms regularly because I'm really pale and my hair is really dark, otherwise I look like a lady gorilla. Ga-ross! LOL.

My current plan doesn't allow for cheat days but when I as taking them, it was always like one or two cheat meals, not a whole day, and always right after recording my official weight for the week. Usually it would push the scale up a couple pounds. I weigh in on Monday, and usually by Thursday the cheat weight was gone…

Hi, I'm Faythe. I'm a 21-year-old mother of 2. I've been married for almost 5 years, am a full-time prenursing student and a manager at a fast food restaurant. My most recent weight was 287, I'd ideally like to be 150. I've been trying unsuccessfully to lose weight for years and had a moderate amount of success (went from…

I think you're doing right by them by keeping the family's lifestyle healthy. Growing up, my family ate junk food and fast food and all of us were overweight to some degree. I have 2 kids now, a boy and a girl, and I want them to be healthy and fit from the get-go and not have to worry about needing to lose weight. There's…

Drink lots of water and try to fight off cravings as much as possible during that week but yep, it's totally normal to gain a few pounds then and lose it after.
-
Congratulations! It's great to have the visual of how far you've come. :)

I can see a difference in your tummy for sure and your arms look a little slimmer too.

Thank you for sharing this. Great words of wisdom! :D

I have an appt in a couple weeks with an internal medicine doctor to do some basic bloodwork, if anything pops up there I'll probably go to an endocrinologist. I do plan on getting in touch with a nutritionist, as well, because I know that diet is where I'm probably screwing up. Thanks for the advice. :)

I had at first thought that I was consuming more grazing calories than I was counting, but like I said I've been meticulous and I actually gained weight when I followed MFP near-perfectly. It's odd. I don't take any medication.

I usually do about a half hour on an elliptical at a pace that I would consider moderately strenuous (can't talk easily while exercising) as well as 10-15 reps of upper body exercises like tricep extensions, bicep curls, shoulder press, torso twists, etc. All told it's between 30-60 minutes 3x weekly. This is similar to…

Welcome, I too have over 100 pounds to lose. It's difficult to get started but once you make some healthy habit swaps it gets a little bit easier. I lost 40 pounds before with MFP and I'm hoping to repeat the experience plus some now that I'm back on track too. We can do it!

Wow! You look much healthier and happier. :)

Yesterday I drank 9 cups of water and did 3 sets of crunches. Currently chugging down today's first 3 cups. Hangovers suck!

I think that if the most in both categories is the same person, the runner up in NEWTs should be made the NEWT prefect. That seems fairest to me.
-
8 cups of water and 50 crunches today. I am soooo sore!
-
100 oz of water today and 200 crunches, which is 8 sets I think. :)
-
I like the idea of getting counted for each cup of water. Yay for crunches! I'm going to get started.

100 jumping jacks and 100 oz. of water today. :D
