    yeah that sounds fine hun will make us all work harder at both challenges i really struggle with the water so anything that spurs me on to try harder im up for

    dont really know what else we can give the prefects to do sorry :(
  • That would work:-) You could also make the runner up the second prefect in the event that the same person wins both. WTG to the Huffle that's done that:-)

  • I think I need some input though, on how to go about choosing Prefects. Originally, I was going to choose one Prefect based on OWL scores and one Prefect based on NEWT scores. But I have *someone* on the spreadsheet that has a pretty good chance of having the highest score in BOTH categories!

    So, I thought choosing the top two from OWLs and NEWTs combined? What do you guys think?

    If I did it this way, I'd have one Prefect assign the exercise challenge for the week and the other assign the food challenge, and the following week, they'd switch and assign the opposite. Does that make sense?

    What other duties and such should we assign to Prefects?

    This sounds good to me ... what is the food challenge???? I'll have to go check the blog.

    OK, yesterday I drank 10 cups of water and did 8 sets of crunches. Today's morning workout was a Group Power class. Crunches are interspersed with other things so I'm going to have to estimate a little on this morning. I'll post after I do my evening crunches :)

    I think that sounds fine for choosing prefects.

    Ok here's my official weigh in: 118.6 pounds! I'm down 1.6 pounds from last week!

    I am weighing in at 179.4 I lost a pound since last week. I have also done 300 jumping jacks between monday and Tuesday and drank 10 cups of water both days. I pretty much only drink water. Thanks for letting me be apart of the hufflepuff's!!!
  • Mornng Huffles!!!! It's been a crazy week. I have been working out, but the crunches have aluded me. This week is going to be difficult. My brother is leaving for deployment on Thursday and every night until then we have had some thing family related. So I am going to bow out of this week's challange, and reenter next week. I wish you all the best of luck and keep doing a fabulous job.

    I think that if the most in both categories is the same person, the runner up in NEWTs should be made the NEWT prefect. That seems fairest to me.

    No need to feel bad ... we all have to live normal lives ... if "happy hour" is occasional and not the norm it's okay. I hate that we feel guilty or discusting for every little exta morsel or high calorie drink we consume. I'm sure we're perfectly entitled to the occasional "happy hour". You've been doing AWESOME so let this go and move on. Stay proud my MFP friend.

    Yesterday I drank 10 glasses of water, not 9 as I posted.... Hoping to get about that much in today...Oh and NSV yesterday I found a way to both exercise and do my reading homework. I get on the WII FIT and do the 30 minute free walk and I grabbed my book and read while I walked in rhythm and did a really good job on both reading and walking

    as for your question about prefects and wotnot, I have no idea how you could possibly calculate anything; my brain simply stalls at things like that. I trust you to make it good and fair :wink:

    you are without a doubt awesome it puts my 400 i did today to shame but i just cant face doing anymore hope you reach prefect your an inspiration
  • No crunches today from me, but 93 minutes of exercise and 6 glasses of water so far :)
  • Simply cannot get over how hard you Puffies are working it! Makes me so proud to be a badger! :bigsmile:

    I think what's going to be easiest for me as far as Prefects go, is to total the OWLs and NEWTs as one. Unless anyone has any objections, we'll do it that way.

    Also, I'm sorry that little things change as we go on, but this is new to all of us and we will eventually have it running more smoothly! It's come a long way since last week, though. In the beginning, is was all so jumbled and disorganized I'd thought you'd all leave! But then I remembered how loyal Hufflepuffs are. :wink:

    Scoring for September Prefect selection will close at the end of the day tomorrow. Any water, or crunches done and not reported yet should be reported in the Common Room by tomorrow night. Thursday morning, I'll announce September Prefects.

  • First of all, I totally agree ... Hufflepuffin Rocks!!!

    Secondly ... my report for today ... 10 glasses of water and 200 crunches (4 sets). My belly muscles are feeling it big time ... I totally respect those who can do more ... in fact, I'm in awe.

    Yup, I'm with y'all, Hufflepuffin is super great (it's so awesome to have a dedicated leader!)

    I'm coming in at 8 cups of water and 50 crunches today!

    10 cups of water- I did 2 sets of Jack knives on the wii fit (I hope they count as crunches cuz they hurt like a crunch) for a total of 20 jack knives...wish I could do more but I had homework, school, work, and food to make for the rest of the week

    NSV I climbed 4 flights of steps today before I felt winded (I usually can't get past 2 or 3)
