  • You look amazing! Keep up the good work.
  • I love how your smile just keeps getting bigger and better as the pictures progress. You did an awesome job! And you look great.
  • Greek yogurt sausage patty with cheese low carb left overs (I do this a lot when I'm tired of eggs) 1/2 cup oatmeal with lots of butter and lots of salt cooked sausage with egg broke over it and cooked. Top with cheese, sour cream and salsa. YUM
  • I've breastfed all of mine. My goal was discretion but when a baby gets to a certain age, discretion can be a challenge. My husband is a natural guy and told me not to worry about it, just do the best I could. I've seen people watching me latch my babies on and decided I couldn't worry about it. Babies have to eat when…
  • You look great! What an encouragement to me you are. Thank you!
  • Oh my! I can't post it...its pretty much pornographic. How utterly shocking!
  • I agree. I don't think sex is a cure all. I think its a cure almost all. I was raised to think that if non sexual intimacy was good than sex would be good. But I have found the complete opposite to be true in my marriage of 19 years. If sex is good than intimacy is out of this world. Putting my husband first did not make…
  • I would love a gun as a gift! I have my conceal carry license and would love to have a smaller gun to carry on my person or in my purse. I think a gun is a great gift. When I'm thinking about giving a gift that might be iffy, I try to put my own feelings out of the way and think about the person. I definitely would not…
  • You look fantastic. Healthy! Not over weight but not skinny either. And your classy too!
  • If I'm buying greek yogurt, FAGE is my favorite. Good stuff.
  • I bought the Paula Dean food scale at Walmart. I'm not looking for super precise though. I wanted learn what ounces looked like in food :) I still use my scale many times a week for weighing meat so that I know I'm getting the right amount.
  • How encouraging! You look great. I agree with everyone else you look younger and there is such a big difference in your face.
  • Being on a low carb diet I don't worry too much about fat as long as I'm getting healthy fats found in butter, peanut butter, coconut oil etc. Fat does raise the calorie level quite a bit. This month since I'm working harder to meet my goal, I am watching calories too. I've pretty much eliminated dairy (cheese) because its…
  • 30 lbs in the last 2.5 months. So thankful to be losing weight and feeling so much better!
  • I have found eating off of a dessert plate helps me so much. I too feel guilty to leave food on my plate. I was raised to "clean my plate" and it is harder to root out early childhood training. So when at home, most times I will get a dessert plate and fill it. It is usually just the right amount. It is a full dessert…
  • I do Atkins too. Its a lifestyle change for me. Once the first 2 weeks of induction are finished then the goal is to add carbs to the limit that your body can still lose weight. I've lost 30lbs so far and feel great. Also I avoid all the Atkins treat type stuff like their bars and brownies etc. There is so much sugar…
  • I think it depends on the person. I have lost 30lbs on a low carb diet. I keep my net carbs under 30 grams a day. I do this because my Physician said its what I need to do and I was also on the slippery slope to Type 2 Diabetes. I feel a lot better even though I have another 90lbs to go. If your going to eat carbs its good…

  • An aerobics teacher told me that stretching after exercising is important if I didn't want bulky calves but long slender looking muscles in my calves. I do stretch my legs out quiet a bit so far no bulk.
  • haha love fat cats!
  • Awww I'm sorry....I had to do that when I bought my new scale...It showed a 5lb difference. Not real fun when the new scale ruins the work you've put into it losing weight! Don't let it discourage you.
  • I would always have terrible cravings with my TOM. A friend told me about coconut oil and now I eat some of that every day and I don't have cravings anymore. Not sure its for everyone. My Physician recommended a low carb diet for me so while I do try to stay under a calorie goal, counting carbs is where its at for me…
  • That is usually a sign of low blood sugar. Good protein and a good carb with high fiber is good for that. Sometimes a change in diet will have that affect on a person. When I stopped eating any form of sugar 2 months ago, I felt that way for several days.
  • I have 10 children ranging from 23-3. It is a hard job but the rewards and lessons learned are beyond anything I could have imagined when my husband and I started this journey all those years ago. As an 'older' mom my best (unsolicited) advice to younger moms is train your children when they are young. Training is key to…
  • YEAH! Congratulations my friend!!!
  • Hello, I'm 42 and the mother of 10 and I like to snack too! I'm working on stopping that habit.
  • I keep my net carbs under 20 grams a day. I shoot for 70-85 grams of protein a day.
  • I am losing weight and staying within my carb limit. I was just wondering what others did with the calorie count and if I needed more calories or if 1400 was a good goal when doing a low carb diet. :)
  • Me Me Me! I'm Denimgirl there too! I'll be looking for the MFP group there!
  • Hi, I'm Dana. I've been doing Atkins Since the first of October. I'm glad to find this thread! I was checking out that recipe blog...AWESOME! I'm always in the market for a new recipe. :)
  • I do a low carb diet. I don't think its for everyone but I find it works well for me. Its not about eating NO carbs its about eating LOW carbs. Basically I keep my net carbs under 20 grams a day. Most people do what is called an induction phase where they stay under 20 grams of carbs a day for 2 weeks. After I think the…
