  • I looked and couldn't find anything that you could print off. I have an app on my iPhone that I use. This is the app that I use http://www.felttip.com/c10k/

  • Actually, the C210K program might help you ease into the C25K. The first couple weeks of C210K have a lot more walking than running. The workouts are a little longer (45 minutes to an hour) but I felt they were easier to build up endurance than the C25K. You start off by walking 5 minutes, running for 30 seconds, walking…

  • Whoa! I took the laces out of the top holes and ran 3.65 miles with absolutely no pain. I am sooooo grateful for that tip!
  • I heard a nutritionist talking about them on the radio a while back. She said the Muscle Milk shakes have an excellent protein/carb ratio. She said to definitely read labels and don't get one that goes way overboard on carbs. I still haven't tried one to know whether or not they taste good.
  • I have the same problem. My doctor diagnosed me with tendinitis, but it's the same thing. I always take 2 ibuprofen about 30 minutes before going out for a run and then ice my shin (only my left bothers me) when I get home and wrap an ace bandage around it for compression. I have very tight calves and stretching doesn't…
  • I ordered my Polar FT4 on Amazon for just over $70. I absolutely love it!
  • Depends on the size of the bagel, I guess. I compared the labels between bagels and bread and realized the "normal" sized bagels were the equivalent if eating 5 slices of bread. Totally not worth it for me, but I do so much better when eat less carbs.
  • If you're worried about your joints, do some exercises to strengthen the muscles that support your joints before you start any running. Do that every day for about 2-3 weeks, then gradually start walking and running. Also, running outside is actually great for your joints because the turning, uneven terrain, hills, etc.,…

  • 1. It's my "me" time. 2. I love my early morning runs when most of the people in town are still sleeping. So quiet! 3. I love knowing that I'm doing something amazing for virtually every part of my body. 4. I love that I get to eat more on workout days! 5. I love that I'm setting an awesome example for my kids.
  • I agree with the previous poster about him following his curve. If he suddenly dropped from the 50th % in weight, that's one thing, but if he's always hovered around the 20th %, I wouldn't worry about it. Also, most doctors don't know squat about nutrition. I have a friend who is a doctor and he said they got 1 class that…
  • I also doing C210k. I just finished W5D2 (4.12 miles) this morning. I've been running more than the typical 3 days a week because I'm enjoying this program that much! Crazy talk, I know!
  • I started the C210k program on May 3rd. I just finished W5D1 today. I started doing C25K, but felt like my workout was getting over just as I was really getting into it. I decided to go with C210k instead because I like the idea of a longer workout. 60ish minutes vs. 30ish minutes. I skipped week 1 and have been running…
  • I'm in the process of becoming a runner. I'm currently in week 5 of the couch to 10k program. I just started using MFP yesterday to keep track of my calories and so far I'm really liking it.
