Welcome back. You got this!

I don't know your specific situation but try things like farmers markets, if you have a friend or family member with access to a wholesale (bulk) store try to utilize it to get your hands on a lot of cheap healthy food, and coupon. Do a little research on extreme couponing and see if any of those strategies can help fill…

Welcome! There are a lot of reasons for a persons metabolism to slow down, a lot of it depends on your activity level and the type of foods you eat. Your age will also effect it, but that doesn't mean that once it slows down, you are stuck. Due to reasons I won't get into here I had a slow metabolism most of my life. Once…

I don't think body weight is every thing. I for example have an ideal body weight around below 180 lbs. I got down to 176 and am now in the process of building muscle with a goal of reaching and sustaining about 210 lbs. Strictly by going with BMI I would be considered over weight but my body fat % is hovering right around…

When in doubt surround yourself with people that DO help you, with people that share a common goal and interest. You need motivating people in your life, you made a good choice in seeking 'em out!

The scale is a good tool but really what matters is inches and how you FEEL. Clothes are fitting better, that's an important sign. I would only really encourage you to hit the scale soon so that you know where you are starting from. Those before and after pictures and measurements can have a HUGE impact on you staying the…

Welcome back! I had my first major loss with insanity. :) I'm a bit afraid to try asylum though haha.

I'm down for hanging with you. I went from weekly pizza/burgers/pop/takeout/etc etc etc, started cutting out junk slowly over time. Now it's fresh fruits and veggies, meat, various healthy snacks, some milk, a little coffee, and some sports nutrition supplements. I went from 240 to 176 with a good diet and solid exercise…

You can do it! If you need any help just ask! :)

I try to be positive and helpful. Feel free to add me and you are more than welcome to ask me anything about my own fitness plan. I managed to lose a total of 64lbs. :) Keep at it!

I have loose tendons and a bad back so I have modify push ups and make sure I use dumbbells or push up stands when I do them. Burpees and plyo push ups are pretty much out of the picture. Dead lifts are something I have to be really careful about too. I have to stay way light on the weights.

Feel free to add me. :)

When it comes to losing fat I use a simple plan. our fitness group calls it the fat shredder. it is 50% protein, 30% carbs, 20% healthy fats (I'm sure it's called a million things elsewhere). I went from 240 to 176 before switching to an more maintenance diet of 40/40/20. It's important to know how you metabolism is doing…

I remember when I was 220 :) Did cardio and body weight training down to 176 and now lifting to build muscle. At about 190 right now. feel free to add me

one of the important things to focus on is not getting on a "Weight loss" diet, but instead changing your overall diet. cutting out junk food and sugar gradually can help with the craving and remember. Even slow progress IS progress.

Congrats on quitting smoking! That one can be really tough.

More than welcome to toss me an invite. :)

I used to reward myself with stuff, but really I've reached a point where I can see my progress in the mirror every day and that is reward enough. :) That said... As a gamer I think if I make at least 80% of my workouts in my 90 day schedule I earn myself a weekend off to veg out and game until I pass out. haha!

For carbs you can have, try to stick to wholesome carbs. whole grains, veggies and fruits tend to be best, though maybe go easy on the fruit due to the sugars. Try upping your protein intake to help you reach your calories instead. For example, right now I'm eat %50 protein with %30 carbs and %20 fats. I get most of my…

It doesn't matter how many times you fail at this, as long as you get back up and try again. You can do this.

I would have to say it's a tie between chocolate and coffee. But since I have a chocolate shake with coffee for breakfast I don't even stress it HAH!

I personally am a fan of planning all my meals for the week and buying in bulk when I can. For example, say I've decided to have pork chops for lunch at work for the week. I will cook my chops, veggies, and carb-of-the-week all at once and package them for the week ahead. This helps cut down on electricity used in cooking,…

You are more than welcome to add me too! I could use a bit of support myself. I just signed up for my first ever body building competition style training event and I'm pretty nervous about how it's all going to go.

Congrats! That's a huge milestone!
