  • Oh congrats!!! What a great feeling and accomplishment!! Stick to your goals and continue on this great path!! :drinker:
  • ^^ THIS! You can use all the products, lotions and potions that you want... you either get stretch marks or you don't. I wouldn't do so concerned about it. Most stretch marks fade away with time or at least to a reasonable fade that you can live with for the most part. I am sure you all still look amazing!! :flowerforyou:
  • I have attended plenty of my local meetings but the majority of the people are married couples, slightly older, and only looking for their "unicorn". At the time, my partner and I were what I would consider truly Poly - no restrictions on gender or who/how they were in involved. (EX many couples only want someone for both…
  • 30 weeks here and definitely worried with weight gain in the home stretch! I have read that weight gain will increase in the third trimester as baby is gaining most of his/her weight now too. I did really well up to this point, but lately I am so hungry! I upped my Cal intake to 1700 and I still could eat more. I am…
  • Louisville area here!! Not from here originally but making the best of it!! :drinker:
  • Jamie, please check www.verticalsleevetalk.com to see read the good, bad and ugly (and most importantly - the TRUTH!!). Please don't listen to the stories of my friend this or I knew this person that.... get real information from real Doctors and real patients. No matter what path you choose, become educated and stick with…
  • I love your story.. and how happy you seem. I just wish you were doing it for you, not him. Maybe you started it for him and it transferred to doing it for you (I hope). That way, if God-forbid you guys ever split, you wont give up b/c it was all for him. Stay strong and congrats on the great loss!!
  • Ok just my experience (and everyone is different) but I am 2 yrs out... - I can eat quickly. But I fill up quick! I can eat most of a 6" sub and be stuffed.. maybe too stuffed at times. Depends on my tummy. Some days I can't eat a 3" sub!! And that is 2 yrs out!! - I drink and eat at the same time ALL the time. This was…
  • With no complications it might be ok. But bending over and lifting anything over 15 lbs might hurt a bit and potentially open a wound. Maybe ask your Dr what your post op weight limits are set at. For me, I was in the hospital with complications (unexpected) for one week. I ended up having to take additional time off from…
  • NSV - (both post op and prego NSV) "Wow you don't look pregnant at all!" Not bad for almost 6 months along. I am worried about gaining and having to lose weight again... it was a rough ride to get to my goal. My fav NSV of all time - buying clothes without trying them on! LOL I know it sounds odd, but I dislike shopping…
  • Small portions... tasting portions.. it is my usual MO. Thanksgiving or not, I like to taste most things and can be completely happy with that. All things in moderation!
  • Checking in. :flowerforyou: How many of you go to local Poly Meet & Greets? I go locally, but it is the same group of people every single month. We cover every topic under the sun but it leaves me wanting new members. I just have to wonder if people are scared to be active (much like this board) or if there is really that…
  • LOL yeah mine squeaks too! Pretty embarrassing.
  • Hi all! I am new to the group but not new to Deskercising! I keep a ped-bike under my desk, hand weights (5lb and 10lb) and a balance ball at work. My co-workers make fun of me when I do squats or leg lifts at my desk (I even did the Brazilian Butt Lift moves at my desk). I try to fit in my exercise when I can, especially…
  • Had my first ultrasound at 9 weeks. Like Steph, they were just looking for the heartbeat. Sent me home with pix (yay) although there was not a lot to see (detail wise) but it was a great surprise! I have my genetics testing next week and they will be doing another ultrasound for that. Fun times.
  • Try using a bit less lemon juice in your warm water. It is supposed to help with digestion and can cause some stimulant type effects. If it is severe, maybe cut back until your system is back on track. :drinker:
  • Cherry tomatoes with diced bell peppers and cucumber in Italian dressing. Been waiting all day .. YUM!
  • Been there, done that. Not worth the price of the t-shirt. Now, if TLC would pay me to film My 5 Lesbian Wives (Me being the lead/Alpha)... well that might be interesting!!
  • Oh congrats!! Try to stay focused on the reasoning behind the fast. Drink lots of water and chicken broth. I do feel for you though... I only had to fast for 24 hours. Good luck! :flowerforyou:
  • I am a bit further out (2 yrs out) so that is probably why I don't have many issues. Trouble foods: - Pasta *cry cry* (sadly, I still can put down about 1/2 cup of well sauced pasta) - Eggs (any kind) - Protein bars unless super crunchy - Ice Cream (maybe the sugar content... not sure, but I eat frozen yogurt fine) I don't…
  • Good luck and stay positive! It will be challenging, but focus on the rewards the future brings you!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • Looks great! Too bad I gave up meat!! You make your own tortillas?!?! OMG how cool is that! :flowerforyou:
  • Broccoli slaw instead of pasta? Yes! tasty and low carb!
  • Or Google it... (Oh gawd, it looks awful)

  • Just joined. Kind of bummed that there is not more going on in the group. Anyway, HI ALL~ :flowerforyou:
  • Money held me up, too. I ended up using CareCredit to finance my surgery. Good Luck.
  • Vegan Stuffed Peppers: Green Bell Peppers Soy/Veggie Crumbles Rice Spicy Tomato and Basil Sauce Black beans Corn Onion Seasoning to taste
  • Have you gotten a 2nd and 3rd opinion and quotes? I had my surgery about 1.5 yrs out from my VSG. I didn't wait till my goal weight because my goals have changed over time. I am happy with my results, and glad that I shopped around before deciding on a Dr.
