Cardio exercise will boost your good cholesterol. The higher the good cholesterol the better.

I read that eating cholesterol foods does not cause high cholesterol. Cholesterol is made in the liver and you need cholesterol for proper functioning of cell membranes and brain Health. It could be hereditary. My total cholesterol is high but my doc says there are new guidelines now and my risk factors are low. So I don't…

Anything that is plant related. Or is made from plants is a carb. Animal products are protein. Carbs are the body's source for energy. Although if eaten in excess and not metabolized get stored as fat. The only way I can lose weight is to limit carbs to about 60 grams daily and 1200 calories daily but I am 55 years old…

The beans that you are reading about are either the dried beans such as garbanzo also called chick peas, red kidney beans, navy beans, pink beans, black beans, lima beans, lentils: let see have I missed any, probably but these are the ones I know of. I only eat whole foods. Nothing processed and everything cooked myself from scratch. I would basically only be cutting out breads bagels, Triscuits. I don't have an allergy to it so I don't have to be meticulous about it.

Thank you. I will

I don't eat this kind of "junk" anyway so this would not be hard to eliminate. What I do love though is bagels. Sweets are not my thing.

Hi, I'm 52 with 40 lbs. to lose. Just finished a weight management 6 week course with a dietician and lost 6 lbs in six weeks which is quite the accomplishment for me. The scale wasn't budging at all. She had me switch up my exercise routine to doing intervals. Hard work but apparently it helped.

I have been asked by more than one person if my legs are naturally toned or do I work at it. Hell no it's not natural. I have been walking for exercise for 20 years. Even though I am overweight my legs are still very toned and complimented.

Pie crust, cookie dough, bread dough/pizza, pasta dough, chicken salad, hummus. In the summer I use it to make water ice from frozen fruit and sugar syrup. After swirling the frozen stuff in the food processor you get a great water ice consistency, You can also do your shakes in there. Every kitchen should have a food…

Going vegan is not an easy task. Vegans don't eat anything made from animals which is not only meat, poultry and fish but also cheese, eggs, and milk products. I tried vegetarian for awhile which wasn't so bad. Maybe you should start vegetarian and see how that goes. You also have to supplement with vitamins due to…
