  • I also suffer with this addiction and have learned to give myself rewards , say once a week for a small treat and once a month for a big dinner out really helped me along the way as I lost the weight. I have now been maintaining for over a year
  • I went from 3 sugars and cream to black. I did it slowly a little less each week or so. I now indulge in the creamer once or twice a day, just a little and cut it with skim milk. I enjoy having the choice of being able to go black or light. Flavored coffee helped in the weaning process. I absolutely did not like the soy…
  • Please feel free to message me with any questions. I cannot take on any more friends right now, but I am happy to answer any questions
  • Yes I weigh EVERYTHING and Count EVERYTHING. It was the key to my success at losing 200 lbs
  • I run 5 miles a day plus swim. My legs are definitely toned and muscular. I am able to zip up tall boots ,so they are not so bulky they look overly bulky like a body builders.
  • was a size 28 or 30 and now at size 6 or 8 at 133 lbs. It took around 19 months to get to 145 and another 3-4 months to get to 135. I am keeping between 130 and 140 for almost a year.
  • Obviously, water with some lemon is better, but you know that. I still drink diet soda, but limit it to the "clear" variety( 7-up or clear fruity ones) . The question is how much are you willing to compromise to get the weight off. Only you can be the judge. If it takes a diet soda versus "the real thing" for a while, go…
  • Congrats! Thank you for posting this sensible advice. I totally get this and agree 100%
  • I have learned a lot about me on this journey of weight loss and I can tell you what works for me might not necessarily work for you or your lifestyle. I went to a nutritionist and her #1 goal was to find a diet that worked for ME. I have a gluten allergy, was borderline diabetic and high blood pressure. She took all my…
  • I have lost 200 lbs myself and size concept is an issue that is difficult to adjust to.Start thinking healthy versus fat or thin. I am 5' 3" and am staying between 130 and 140 . I am 57 yrs old. My doctor thinks anything below 150 is just fine. I wear size 6 or 8 clothes in misses. The general conception of size is size…
  • Sears has a nice selection of shorts, they are not toooo short (Laura Ashley brand) in womens sizes. You can try on and then order with free shipping if they don't have your exact size or color in stock. Kohls will do the same. I used to weigh 340 lbs and wore size 28 -30W. At 240lb I wore size 20-22. Sizes vary from brand…
  • I have a gluten allergy and also stay away from carbs as I was such as rice (except for rice cakes), potatoes, corn, bread, pasta, even high sugar fruits and vegetables as I was also borderline diabetic. I stayed on a 1200 cal diet for 2 years under my doctor's guidance to lose my weight. I went through a nutritionist…
  • Its OK, but seems to have a little after taste to me. I go all natural Smuckers --- just peanuts. Also go for the PB2 choc flavor
  • I would never go below 1200 calories and my entire weight loss and also now a year of maintenance is based on a 1200 allotment. I do not eat back my exercise calories. I maintain between 130 and 140 lbs (I am 5'3" and 57 yrs old) Whenever I over indulge and gain back weight I go back to 1200 calories to get to my low and…
  • If you hate the thought of PAM (I use it) try one of those spritzer cans that you put oil in and it comes out in a fine mist.I don't know how much they put out in a spray, but you could weigh the can before and then after and then see how much you used to count the calories
  • I am trying to maintain between 130 and 140 lbs and am also 5'3". I eat 1200 when I go over 140. Yes I feel a bit hungry, but I lose on that and when I get to my low weight I re-adjust to 1400-1500cal. You are welcome to check out my diary
  • until things are healed you can concentrate on floor type stuff i.e. crunches abs, back, hips, sides ,neck). No excuses!
  • You can do it if you really want to. You have come to the right place. The best tips I can give you is to count calories, exercise (even if it is 15 mins a day at first) and keep going and let no one or anything stop you from your goals. Don't makes excuses and tell yourself lies about why you can't. YOU CAN !!!!
  • Ask our doctor for a diet plan ( a diabetic or food option list for 1200 or 1500 calories is a good place to start). They know what your problems can be and which diet suits your life style. Avoid fad diets as they may work for a while, but usually are lacking for the long term lifestyle which should be your ultimate goal.…
  • I also have endometriosis and am 5'3". I eat 1200 calories to lose and 1400-1500 to maintain a weight of 130 -140 lbs. I also exercise for at least 2 hours a day. Unless your doctor says you shouldn't exercise I think it may be the way to getting more energy.
  • I take my kitchen scale and keep as close as possible to eating my regular breakfast and lunch (I take my oatmeal, yogurt, protein bars etc.) For dinners out I look for meat and vegies only meals or opting for doubling the veggies instead of starch as a choice. I pick ONE meal to eat dessert as a special night. I stay at…
  • Running works for me ! Try a C25Kprogram( google this) to learn to run. More calories, less time. I also think 1200 cals is a minimum.
  • It takes time for the body to "go back" from weight loss and also depends on age. I have a huge weight loss (200lbs), and my body is still shrinking even tho I have only lost 10 lbs in the past 9 months.I did however start weight training over a month ago and I think it is helping. I have tried some body shapers and they…
  • Congrats!!!!!!!! Yes you can do it if that's what you want and you have to want it . I was a size 11/12 or 13/14 most of the way thru high school. I am now in size 6 or 8 and actually have one pair of pants size 4. I am trying to maintain between 130 and 140 lbs . I am 5'3" and 56 years old. Never in my life did I think it…

  • I'm not able to add more friends at this time, but I want to offer support and motivation. I KNOW there is hope . I transformed myself over a period of 3 years and am maintaining. I have what I call the blood sweat and tears method. The blood of Christ as my support, the sweat equity of exercise and many tears giving up my…
  • Yes!!!!! I thought it was just me at first, but I have been successful at 1200 cals and lost ALL of my weight with this and exercise. I wish I could eat more, but now after years of trial and error ,I have truly learned how my body reacts. I exercise about 2 hours a day Running 5 miles/day and swimming an hour 6 days a…
  • I keep my protein hgh as advised by my nutritionist. Itry to get 100 g protein, 100g carbs, and 50 g fat every day. It worked for me.
  • Puncture and then zap in microwave for 7-10 min depending on size. I had one tonight. my hubby and I split one once a week. It is the only potato I eat. I do not eat the skin.
