Wow, before I joined MFP I had no idea that there were people who didn't like the taste of water!! But I see people here saying it all the time - that they HATE the taste of water. It's crazy to me! I looooove the taste of water. I never drink anything else. Maybe you just need to get used to it and it'll be an acquired…

Ditch the fast food! I think I see McDonalds in your diary almost every day and I went back a while! Also a lot of skipped meals. That's a habit you're gonna want to break as well.

This is an EXCELLENT description! I too am an introvert, but I am not shy. The two are often seen as synonymous but being an introvert or extrovert is really all about how you recharge (extros get their energy from people and intros get their energy by being alone). I love social situations, but as an introvert need a few…

Hello  I'm from Toronto! Edited to say: Just realized that everyone else said what PROVINCE they were from except the Torontonian. Typical.
-
I personally wouldn't log it as exercise - just count it as part of your TDEE. I take the stairs at work as well and never log it.

I could never work out hungover. I once went to a hot yoga class hungover and actually thought I was going to die! I don't get hungover often, but when I do I definitely do NOT go to the gym. No one needs to see me ralph all over the treadmill.

Chocolate Vega nutritional shake. 2 egg whites with spinach and goats cheese and 1 piece of spelt toast with natural peanut butter! Yum!
-
Same! I eat peanut butter pretty much every day. If I couldn't eat peanut butter, I wouldn't want to live.

Something that really helps me when going into job interviews is turning the tables in my mind and thinking "I'm going to interview a potential employer today to see if it would be a good fit for me" rather than all of the pressure being on ME to be THEIR perfect candidate. This simple shift in my mind has really changed…

I have a treat every now and again but never a whole cheat day...just don't really feel the need for it. I love all of the foods I already eat on a regular basis.

I am going to try insanity tomorrow for the first time...I am scared but excited!! It looks, well, insane.
-
i agree with everyone else - cook or learn to cook if you don't already do it! get a few good cookbooks and set aside 1 day a week (my day is sunday) for spending a few hours in the kitchen preparing meals for the week. i always like to have a few good soups/stews in the freezer to have on hand for lunches and stuff. it…

Milk chocolate. I lose all control and can't stop.

I don't think you're going to hear anything new here at this point. Basically you may or may not have hypoglycemia. Since this just started happening once you cut cals, I'm guessing it's not hypoglycemia but that you are not eating enough. You're profile says that you are a 24 year old male...1500 calories is no way enough…

Do you have a heart rate monitor and a food scale. If not I really recommend investing in those two items to ensure you're accurately logging your burns and your calories consumed. Once I got a HRM and a food scale I started dropping weight like crazy. I had been eating a lot more than I thought I was.
-
Good to hear positive feedback. I've often considered buying it but didn't know if it would be super lame or if it would actually be good.
-
Hmmm...I don't know. Certainly not for the rest of my life!!! If all goes according to plan and I live to 100, I can't see myself logging my food until then  But I actually really like logging. I love seeing what I have put in my body for the day, and keeping track of my macros, etc. I will certainly be doing it for…

That sounds like a pretty stellar breakfast!

Absolutely. Try tea tree oil or maybe a bit of antifungal cream like clotrimazole. Does it itch? If it's itchy I'd say almost certainly it's a fungus thing.
-
Eggplant. I try because it's so beautifully purple, but...yuck. :noway:
-
Yes, use your scale! It makes a huge difference.

peanut butter.

WOW!!! Your story nearly made me cry!

I agree with this. While I don't necessarily think that sugar cereals are the way to go  it's totally true that different bodies need/react differently to different things. It's interesting that you crave sugar in the morning and if you have an egg on whole grain bread you feel terrible. I am exactly the opposite!!…

So you're going to trade in the high quality, accurate heart rate monitor for the cheaper, inaccurate one because it gives you numbers you like better? I love my HRM. I got a Polar FT4 and that along with my food scale have been instrumental in my success! I love being able to wear a HRM during exercise classes where…

Have you asked your son whether or not he enjoys going? I grew up in a non-religious household, however, for a while I went through this phase when I was about 9 or 10 where I ALWAYS wanted to go to church with my Mormon friend and her family would always invite me along. It wasn't because they thought our family was…

 is THAT why I always weigh less the morning after I've been drinking!? I never would have put that together.

^ This! I agree that very few people eat 100% clean all of the time myself included, but I never understand the "mocking" (or I guess maybe "challenging" is a better word) of clean eating that goes on around here. To me it's about more than just weight loss. It's about the optimal performance and health of my body. I…

Definitely lightly active! I think 1200 calories is probably too low for your lifestyle but try it out and see. To me sedentary is like: drive to work, sit all day, drive home, eat dinner, sit all evening. This doesn't sound like you.
-
Absolutely! Any food that has zero calories freaks me right out. WTF is it made of?!
