Yes, you need more food! I am a 5'5 female and have been losing about a pound a week eating 1600 calories per day. You're not fueling yourself enough for your workouts, which is why you are tired.

I worked at a yoga studio for years, and I can tell you 100%, honest to goodness no one is looking at you. People often came in very shy about doing their first class and would soon realize that everyone is too busy doing their own thing to notice what others in class look like. Like some of the others have said,…

I am from a province  Ontario.

Oh yes! I don't actually gain much weight but I get RAVENOUSLY hungry for about 3 - 4 days before it starts. I have stopped fighting it and I just go with it. I don't give into every sugary craving I have, but I do allow myself to eat more on those days, because it almost feels like nothing satisfies me.

Hey, I will add you! I am currently 9 pounds from goal weight and eating about 1700 calories per day. Right now, I actually have my goals set to maintenance because I am just very busy these next few weeks and am giving myself a bit of leeway on the diet when I need to. My diary is open to friends and I love talking food!…

There is one woman at my work who keeps telling me I am "wasting away", and will even say to others as I walk into the room "isn't she disappearing?" It bugs me a little bit and I think she means it to be fun banter/compliments but I usually just brush it off and change the subject because it's annoying!!

I have the 6 Week 6 Pack DVD and it's a good workout...though I think there are probably better ab focused DVDs out there. I was kind of annoyed that she includes so much cardio, lunges, and moves that don't specifically target your abs. I get that that's Jillian's system, but when I bought it, I was looking for something…

You're on the right track with beans, nuts, greek yogurt and tofu. I also am a vegetarian and I start every day with a Vega shake which has 15g of protein per scoop, plus a bunch of vitamins and nutrients that are harder to come by as a veg like B vitamins and iron. I agree with the above poster - incorporate lentils.…

This was my actual reaction

I would be concerned that she's been washing your pots and pans with toilet bowl cleaner!! The laundry detergent is weird, but it's no more "poisonous" than dish soap I would think.

I am about 11 pounds away from goal

Yesss. I thought my hatred of the heat was just something that had changed in me, until I realized it was because I was uncomfortable in the heat being overweight. My list: Hating photos of myself No clothes fitting properly Being the chubby friend Men on the street who used to check me out, looking right through me.…

Me too. I would LOVE to be able to be one of those people who can work out at 5am and be done for the day, but I just cannot. When I work out in the morning before I have a chance to eat enough food and drink enough water, I feel dizzy and absolutely exhausted all day long. I work out in the evening after my body has been…

Ha ha, yes! Every single one of these drive me batty as well. I don't think I have any others...you covered 'em!

I love coconut oil and was adding a tablespoon to my morning smoothies for a while before I started cutting my calories. I fully intend to start doing it again once I get to maintenance and can afford the calorie content!!
-
Nice, you look great!! Congratulations  I'm thinking about doing P90X as well but I'm a little scared. It looks crazy!

Agreed!! Eating 1000 - 1100 calories and then burning 500 - 700 calories during a workout without eating those cals back? I would pass out every single day, I don't understand how or WHY people do it. I eat 1640 cals per day and I eat my exercise calories back and I lose consistently. I have my goal set to 0.5 pounds per…

My advice is not to put too much pressure on yourself. If you decide "I'm going to quit cold turkey!" and have a slip up, you start to think "why bother, I can't do it" and before you know it you're a full on smoker again. I used to be a smoker and I LOVED smoking. I remember thinking wistfully "I wish smoking wasn't bad…

Are you diligent with measuring your food and do you wear a heart rate monitor? My weight loss was very slow going and stagnant for long periods of time before I invested in a good food scale and HRM. Then the whole game changed. You don't have much to lose so it will come off more slowly. Also, if you're working out that…

Hello  Good luck with your weight loss! This website is a fantastic tool - I don't think I could have lost the weight I have lost without it! Feel free to add me if you're looking for some friends on here. I'm on every day.

Yes, I think so. There is nothing wrong with LIMITING your sugar intake just as you normally would. Being pregnant does not mean you have to give yourself license to eat junk, but I don't think that being pregnant is the time for a calorie deficit OR experimenting with new diet restrictions like eliminating entire food…

I'd rather be skinny and flat chested! I love my small boobs and have never wanted bigger ones! They got a little bigger when I was at my heaviest - I called them my chubby girl boobs. I love my "Kate Hudsons". Now if only I could get the rest of my body to look like her!
-
Did you just start? I lost about 11 pounds in 3 or 4 weeks when I first started and then it slowed down.

Also: Once Upon a Time New Girl Big Bang Theory Downton Abbey and my "guilty pleasure" is......... Keeping up with the Kardashians. :embarassed:

I agree with the poster who recommended B vitamins. B vitamins and magnesium as well will help keep your nervous system calm as you heal your adrenals. I've been there, it's no fun! I am still recovering from adrenal fatigue but am feeling much better after a few months of self care.

Go easy on anything that is a stimulant. Sugar, caffeine, etc. Get plenty of sleep every night. Carve out time for yourself for relaxation. Spend about 3 hours before bed away from electronics, computer screens, phone screens, tv, etc and do something like read or take a nice bath instead. What you really need to do is…

Lost 21 pounds and have gone from a size 12 to a size 8

Off topic a bit but I'm just curious as to why you say this? I can understand if you're doing a juice fast or something I would definitely agree with seeking the supervision of a doctor, but why would you need doctors supervision to have a glass of fresh juice every morning?? To the OP - it doesn't sound like you've got a…
