Agreed. I mean, I can point to many a music festival or all day drinking fest where I must have consumed 4-6K in calories. A hamburger, fries, a gyro, funnel cake, ice cream, and lots of beer and those calories sure go by quick.

On days of 2-3 hour workouts, or back to back soccer games, my goal (to lose 1 lb) goes to 1800 to 2800-3300 calories. And I could easily fill that up with healthy, if calorie-laiden foods. To get to 5K, here would be my plan: IE eggs, protein smoothie, peanut butter/banana toast for breakfast (900 calories or so) avocados…

In all honesty, I think that it is very unusual (not impossible, but unusual) to find a woman with natural breasts larger than Ds who is at the same time at a healthy body weight/body percentage. Obviously there are exceptions, but I don't meet many. But yes, I agree with you, there is maybe an anti-bewb bias on MFP, but i…

Evidently this is blasphemy, at least according to the other posts here, but I am not into boobs at all. I have Cs/Bs depending on the bra, but I've always thought of them as a hindrance to athletic endeavors. I appreciate the asthetics of the female body, especially a toned stomach, nice perky *kitten*, and great legs,…

I have crazy muscular legs. I used to hate them, but after the jealous looks from my friends at my cellulite-lacking thighs, and the trainers at my gym complimenting them, I have embraced them. They are 23" of pure muscle, and they come from 15 years of playing soccer as a kid, thousands of miles running, and recently, a…

Thanks for the kale chip idea, I think that I will try that! And the advice of just going with it....uh that has not worked for me in the past like I said. And did you travel the entirety of Africa? Or a specific country? Unfortunately, I cannot state where I'm going for security reasons, but I will not be able to get…

The thing I find most sexy: a dad running with his kid in the running stroller. MY GAWD.

Don't be concerned unless you are feeling ill or faint at that heart rate. Resting heart rate is often a genetic thing, ie even at a high weight my father has a low RHR, even though he couldn't run a mile. The other factor is your cardiovascular fitness; ie the stronger your heart is the less it needs to beat (pump blood)…

I've never even heard of Carl's Jr let alone been to one...but a pop-tart ice cream sandwich sounds like heaven...so I might have to find one.

I exercise every day while menstruating. In fact, it's pretty much a requirement on the first day, because that's the only way my cramps will go away.

Wow, what great work!

Haha ok, I got you. And yes I agree, every time I see a post that is like "My boyfriend doesn't find me attractive anymore," and then you find upon further reading that she's gained 60 pounds since they met...all the people shouting "shallow *kitten*!" make me want to roll my eyes. Of course he isn't going to be as…

Well, n=1 does not make someone an expert on how weight gain/loss affects a relationship and what is healthy for the couple, so I think it's kind of funny when people bring their personal anecdotal evidence into the picture. It sounds like the OP is not only complaining about his weight, but also his apathy, lifestyle, and…

Methinks you are confused about the definition of an internet troll. And besides, this forum is all about educating, and it a general consensus by the medical community that breakfast should be eaten, and ideally more than 100 calories.
-
Double negative...you are therefore implying that it is in fact a breakfast. But as others have said, breakfast is an important tool for getting your metabolism up and running for the day. I eat 300-400 calories (granted I eat 1800-2500 calories per day so I have a fair amount to eat). I have found that for someone with a…

Excuse me while I go get sick. The archaic notion that a wife should be submissive to her husband is inequality at the least, abusive at its worst. I still can't believe that these beliefs in the natural role of a wife still exist in the developed world.

What the heck is wifely submission?

Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: 1-2 hrs of bootcamp class, depending on how motivated I am/what I'm planning to eat for the day, + 30 minutes of lifting Mon/Wed Friday: either a rest day, a yoga video, a turbofire video, or a 3-5 mile run. Saturday: 1 hr bootcamp class, + 30 minutes lifting. Sunday: Soccer game (90…

+1 I'm hoping that "No, I'm not a feminist" was your title to get attention, because if not, I think that you are confused about the definition of a feminist. Being a feminist implies that you support feminism, which advocates for women's rights to be equal to men in social, political, and economic forms. Every time a…

Your story is the most inspiring one that I have read on MFP so far. I felt so similar to how you describe yourself before losing weight, and I too have made small sustainable changes which is causing me to take a long time to lose weight but it still stays off. In May I will have been on MFP for two years and hope to be…
