It really depends on the person, i think. I've known some moms that gain 20lbs and that's healthy for them. i on the other hand...gained 65 and I had a perfectly healthy pregnancy. And i exercised every day. Zumba, water aerobics, running and walking. Hiking many miles during vacation. I'm small- 5'3, 135 before pregnancy…

<< Not quite 6 months after my c/s. As I've lost the baby weight, my belly has gotten flatter. I really think it's mostly just about losing fat and time to let the skin tighten back up.

In the beginning I wore my baby everywhere. I would get in a quick 10 minute strength while he was either sleeping or sometimes he would be content to watch what I was doing. Now that's he's bigger, we go for walks in the stroller almost every day for his afternoon nap. He sleeps and I can get in a good hour walk.

I am 5'3'' Pre-preg: 140 Goal Weight #1- 140, GW#2- 130 10/19/14 Delivery day- 184 (highest pregnancy weight I know of- pretty sure it was higher) 2 weeks PP- 155 6 weeks PP- 153 NOW 12 weeks PP-147 I was so swollen I lost 30lbs almost instantly. The rest has been slower going. I was stalled at 153 for quite a while, but…

I actually really like the gym, but it's a cost (and time) issue for me right now. The activity i end up doing most is walking with the baby. I run when someone is home to watch him. I also like doing random videos during his naps (Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and youtube fitsugar).

Checking in again to update. I am no 7 weeks PP and have lost 33lbs of my 45lb pregnancy gain. Highest pregnancy weight- 184 CW- 151 GW#1- 140 GW#2- 130 Started back with running last week and so I'm hopeful that will tear through these last 10 or so pounds!

Great work! I am looking forward to wearing my size 6 pencil skirt from before pregnancy. Hoping I can fit into most of my pre-preg work clothes before I finish maternity leave.

I do find I am craving sweets more. I have always had a sweet tooth, until I got pregnant and it kind of went away for the most part. But post partrum the sweets cravings are back!

Hello, other breastfeeding moms feel free to add me too. My baby boy is almost 6 weeks. I have about 15lbs to lose to get to pre-pregnancy weight. I gained 45 but lost a TON of water the first 2 weeks PP.

Thanks for all the advice, folks! I'm 6 weeks PP now and my appetite is still not where I thought it would be (as ^ poster said, a lot of people told me I'd have an insatiable appetite while breastfeeding), but I'm happy that my supply is still quite abundant!

Yay! Glad I can post to this thread now! I am 10 days post-partum, and have lost 27lbs of the 45 I gained during pregnancy. Pre-preg Starting weight: 138-140 Highest pregnancy weight: 184 (that I know of) 10 days PP- 158 I had a TON of fluid to lose, so hoping I might have a few more lbs of easy loss over the next week or…

I did probably 3 sessions for my back. For my carpal tunnel, I've done about 4 sessions, but still need to go back for more treatment to keep it manageable. I think it's just different for everyone, and depending on what's the problem.

I'm glad you had a positive experience with the acupuncturist. I wanted to weigh in with my acupuncture experiences. I actually started seeing one when I was having trouble getting pregnant and the doctor's all wanted to put me on more hormones (when being on birth control is what I feel messed up my fertility in the first…

Hello ladies! I am 17 weeks with my first baby. I have gained about 18 lbs already, and was a normal weight when I got pregnant. I had low blood sugar in the first trimester so had to eat often to keep it up, but weight loss has actually slowed down since the second trimester has started. I've had to slow down a lot on…

I'm a runner and I also do strength. Add me if you want!

I am on day 2 of 30 with 30DS. I've done the workouts before, but never for the whole 30 days. I do plan to do other exercises in addition to the DVD most days. Like yesterday, I did a quick 15 minute fitnessblender tobada workout right after the DVD. Today, I will probably take a walk this evening. I do feel like 30ds is…

Feel free to add me! I'm on every day.

This group was exactly what I'm looking for! I am going to start 30DS on November 23rd, which will make my last day Christmas day. (10 days on each level, plus 1 rest day between levels). I am 5'3 currently 134, looking to lose 6-10 lbs and continue challenging my fitness. I am an avid runner, but due to an ankle injury, I…

I consider my eating healthy. I typically make things from scratch and grow/raise much of my own foods and meat. Add me if you like!

I'm certainly not an expert, but I have run 2 half marathons recently, and felt I was well-prepared for them. I started out running 5 times a week and quickly discovered that was too hard on my body. To train, I mostly ran 3 times a week with cross training days in between runs. I would usually do something like this:…

Search Cookinglight "Garden Vegetable Crustless Quiche". Turns out perfect every time and is delicious!

Thanksgiving and Christmas are celebrations, so I just enjoy it. That said, I don't enjoy the sluggish overeating feeling so I try to take it easy on the food. I always volunteer to bring one or two healthy sides (this year to Thanksgiving I'll bring roasted brussel sprouts and sweet potato pie truffles for dessert).…

I don't have much in the way of advice, but just chiming in to say I am right there with you. I am training for a marathon this coming spring (April) and my furthest distance so far has been a horrid 16 miler. Running my second half next weekend and have not run that distance since my fist half marathon a month ago. I…

Just finished my first half this past weekend. I had trained up to 16 miles (3 weeks before) the race. But honestly, once I surpassed 7 miles in my training, the rest was mental. You could probably cross the finish line for sure, but is the injury still bothering you? The race is not worth making the injury worse. I would…

This was totally me today! I ran a great 14 miler this weekend, no problem, lots of energy afterwards. Then today, set out for a slow 10k, and didn't even make it 5 minutes. Could be many factors at play, sleep, dehydration, sickness coming on, stress. Personally, I think it's a mental thing too. I get myself psyched for a…

I tried placing water on my route last time, (14 miles) but placing them was time-consuming and I found myself wanting water more frequently than was available. Surely someone out there has an opinion... :)

I know I love carbs too! So, I try to make the most of my carbs (no to minimal all-white bread/pasta/rice). Instead, I go for sweet potatoes, whole grains (oats, popcorn), and make my own bread so I can pack it with nutrient-dense seeds and grains (I make my whole wheat loaf with sunflower seeds, oats, chia seeds, flax…

I used it for plantar fascitis and I think it helps. I now only have to use it on my long run days. If you are willing to spend slightly more for the "waterproof" rather than the "water resistant", you can wear it for multiple days, which ultimately saves money if you will be using it frequently. I say give it a try. If it…
