  • I like making Chicken Salsa. It's just chicken breasts and a jar of salsa...cooked for 4-6 hours or until the chicken tears easily. I serve over Jasmine rice.
  • I boil mine..and use Flour, eggs and cottage cheese as the dough. I can't tell you proportions though :( it's all my sight and how it feels.
  • My husband is this way. Just yesterday he asked me why I "all of a sudden" want to lose weight. When this has been an up and down struggle for me for years. He never says anything when I'm eating a burger and fries...but the minute I order a salad he's all over it. He needs to lose about 60lbs too...he has high blood…
  • You look amazing! Congrats on your success...keep going! You can do it!
  • Me! That is SO me! I tend to find if I'm not held accountable by someone...I slack off. I want/need to lose about 80lbs (I'm 254 now) and I'm starting again...slowly. Would love to have someone to hold me accountable and help someone else!
  • I all...I'm Amy. I have one 5yo girl. I'm an "older" mom...I'll turn 38 this fall...and was heavy when I was pregnant and before. So I can't blame my size on my child! She doesn't always sleep through the night...she has anxiety about alot of things...thunder, fireworks, smoke alarms etc...and it wakes her at night. I work…
  • Hi! I too have been here and "fallen off the wagon". I'm pretty much at the same weight I was at 2 years ago when I first came to MFP...my problem is I last about 2 or 3 months and I start to plateau and give up. I really don't want to give up this time. I'm 37 years young...
  • Born in Chicago...currently in Shorewood, IL.
  • No. He's overweight as well. When I told him I wanted to lose 90lbs...his response was "Why...I love you as you are...so should you". For me, it's about being healthy...and seeing my daughter grow up and have kids of her own. I was 33 when she was born...so I'm already "behind". Sometimes I feel he tries to sabotage…
  • I put "lie" in quotes for that very reason...I don't actually know if they are lying or not. And you're right, I don't know everything about them and whether they had surgery.
  • It's one thing to "forget" to log a meal. But I see breakfast, lunch and dinner...and each meal is like 300 calories. I use other people's food diaries to get ideas for new meals. So it's frustrating when all I see is "2 saltine crackers" or something. I'm just getting back on the wagon after over a year of being off. And…
  • I like the Vitalicious Vitamuffins. They are found in the frozen breakfast food section at the grocery store. Greek yogurt Hard boiled eggs Cold cereal with milk.
  • I'm in sales for a merchant acquirer. If a company wants to accept credit cards, we sell the solutions to be able to. I don't see high turnover in the sales functions...since the commissions are good...but I see it in the relationship management areas.
  • Hi Karen, I'm also a mom in IL...I'm at 241lbs currently. I started MFP back in May 2011 and lost 20lbs between May and August...when I stopped doing my daily walks. I made excuses that it was too hot to walk outside (it was!) so I stopped. I've since gained that 20lbs back. I just bought a treadmill as well and my goal is…
  • I work from home...so I log as I go. Much easier for me to keep track of things. Plus, if I've been "good" all day, and we're going out for dinner that evening...I know just how much exercise I need to get in to get any "bonus" calories to spend at dinner. Makes life SO much easier!
  • OMG I was actually just thinking THIS EXACT SAME THING. I looked at someone's food diary and they were just over 1000 calories and their meals weren't even meals! I really need to connect with people who EAT! I'm 5'7" SW/CW 241 GW 170
  • My fall back is crock pot chicken...I make a lot and have leftovers to freeze 6 chicken breasts 1 large jar of salsa cook in crock pot 6 hours Serve with Jasmine rice. Yummy! Oh...and this was a Weight Watchers recipe from years back.
  • I count EVERYTHING that goes into my mouth. Even marinades and sauces. Some people might think that tracking the mustard on my wrap is nuts...but that mustard is calories...and I NEED to have a clear picture of exactly where my calories are going in order for my to succeed. If I don't track it...how will I know? ETA: I…
  • I wish I could lose 5lbs in a month! I've lost 7 lbs in 2 months! It's very frustrating to see ounces only coming off every week...but I know that every ounce is a win for me. I'm eating better, I'm making healthier choices, I'm moving more, I'm changing my life...I'm NOT on a diet.
  • I like the Sensible Portions Veggie Straws - Rosemary and Olive Oil...YUMMY! Can't remember the calorie count off the top of my head...but it's under 200. I also like the Sensible Portions Apple Straws for a sweet change. Pistachios are good as well...
  • I usually gain a pound or so...this last month I only gained 2 ounces...but I think that's because we were on the go so much the week before. My normal is between 1 - 2 lbs. It's usually all water weight though!
  • I'm cooking my favorite as I type. Crock pot chicken. Chicken Breasts Jar of your favorite salsa Dump everything in the crock pot...cook 6 - 8 hours (depending on if the chicken was frozen or not) on Low. Cook up some Jasmine rice and serve! My 2 year old LOVES it. Today, I added some fresh pineapple and green pepper I had…

  • I could use the same. I've been good with my eating...it's the exercise I slack on. Feel free to friend me if you want and we can chat!
  • Weird that this was posted today! My mom made these for our Father's Day BBQ...they were AWESOME!!
  • I'm not a breakfast person either...I'll eat cereal but even then that's not my favorite. I usually have yogurt. Vitamuffins are awesome as well...or Thomas' Bagel Thins. Only 110 calories for the whole bagel!
  • Thanks everyone! It's hard to eat before I go since they like the players to eat their food and my former favorite foods were always fried. (How do you think I got to this weight?!!) Last week they made me pollock filets (fried) which aren't on the menu but the breading was very light. I may try the mandarin salad or naked…
