I'll be away for the next week or so, but will be wearing my Fitbit and will log how good... or how not so good... I do. for now here's how it looks: January 2013 Step Challenge 2013-01-01 13733 2013-01-02 13818 2013-01-03 11065 2013-01-04 12280 2013-01-05 11593 2013-01-06 6733 2013-01-07 12199 2013-01-08 2013-01-09…

A few days ago, I really had my doubts that I'd end December having made my goal.... but I did it, despite a pesky cold for the last few days. So, I'm pretty happy about that and it's a good way to start the new month and new year! Happy New Year all December 2012 Step Challenge 2012-12-01 1706 2012-12-02 16036 2012-12-03…

Have Fitbit One, will track steps.... so count me in for January 2013 Happy New Year all.

I was less than stellar on the last challenge but I'm not a failure unless I give up and I will never give up... so if there is still a spot open for me, I'd love to be included. I will be away from Jan 9 - 16, so will miss the first weigh in but will be back and present after that.

Well, I've been slacking off over Christmas but I'm back on track now! My Dec goal of 341,000 steps will be hard to make at this rate, but I'll give it my best shot! (I must say that on Xmas eve I did a lot of running around, but forgot to wear my fitbit until after noon) December 2012 Step Challenge 2012-12-01 1706…

Too true. Can't blame anyone or anything, just me. There will be problems, issues, life stresses... but they don't cause the programme to derail. That's 100 % me. I broke my arm and blamed that for staying away from the gym. Just an excuse, because I could still do lots of cardio, just not lift weights. The old saying...…

I'm in for December. I've been using my Fitbit One since early November and it's really help keep me motivated. My goal is to complete the months with a total of 341000 steps. Amazing! Losing 80 lbs in just 1 year! That was a lot of hard, hard work. congratulations.

Dec 1 -- 1706 Dec 2 -- 16073 Dec 3 -- 1723 OK, so December hasn't started out so good, but I will try to make up for it for the rest of the month so I'm in for 300,000 + steps for December. My average for November was 11,237 over 20 days. Good luck to us all.

I'm 168 and hope to drop another 30 lbs.

I have an old pair of Calvin Klein size 8 jeans hanging up in my bedroom. I see them every morning. I am determined to get back into them. I'm about 20 lbs from being able to do that. Would love to wear them next spring! For now they are wall art.

all these songs are excellent, but my favourite is by Melissa Etheridge called I Run For Life. It motivates me as soon as I hear it.

Since I gained 25 lbs over the last year and a half (after having lost 60 lbs) I have lots of clothes to fit back into... but I never got to my goal. I was once about 6 lbs off but never at goal. so I have the same "reward" as I had then. I want to buy myself a really good leather jacket, and not even consider the cost…

This is me. I eat out of boredom or if I'm stressed. And I also leave a couple of hundred calories to eat at the end of the day. I use to set a strict "No eating after 7 pm" rule, but that didn't work. This seems to be doing it for me at least for the past 5 weeks.
-
Actually I was going to post something about this, but then felt like people would think I'm weird or lying. I've been tracking my food on here for the last 5 weeks and it was going good. MFP gave me a 1200 cal/day limit and I was living with that. I learned to save a couple of hundred calories for after dinner because I…

I use to have a rule, NO EATING AFTER 7 PM... but it didn't work and actually hurt me...I felt like a failure, so gave up. I've learned to leave a couple of hundred calories for after dinner. My go to evening snack is a cup of tea, 2 pieces of Ryvita crackers and 1 or 2 triangles of Light Laughing Cow cheese... under 150…

Walking is great. I have knee problems but took up power walking. You can register for races... 5 km, 10 km, half marathons... or just go outside and enjoy the day. Any activity is better than no activity. If you can power walk a 15 min mile, you'll lose around 100 calories. Build that up to an hour... that's 400 calories.…

Other person: Oh you look great, you've lost so much weight Me: Thanks, it was slow going and I have more to go. Other Person: Oh NO, don't lose any more weight, you'll get sick and at your age, it really isn't very attractive to be too thin. Is this a compliment or an insult? I think it's both.

A few years back I lost over 60 lbs and was only a few pounds away from my goal. I remember that I wasn't proud of the weight loss really or the healthy eating. I was proud of my physical fitness. I was at the gym at least 3 days a week, taking aerobics classes and was power walking 1/2 marathons in under 3 hours. That…

This is called Vanity Sizing. Designers are catering to our vanity. When I was young I thought I was huge and wore a size 14 - 16. then I lost lost of weight and finally could fit into a 10. Well, fast forward 25 years and I was about 80 lbs heavier and still in a size 16. Lost 60 lbs, but was still a good 20 lbs heavier…

I'm trying to get back to working on my fitness. I've had problems with plantar fasciitis in my left heel and it's starting to feel better. I don't think I can do 10,000 right away, but I'm going to do the best I can. And I've ordered a fitbit. It's on back order but I should get it by next week. anyway, I'll do my best.

For the last month or so, I've been focused on getting my diet back on track. And I'm happy to report, that I've done far better than I even hoped. In about 5 weeks I lost 9.5 lbs. Now I know I have to get my act together again on the working out front. This may just be the impetus to do that. I had already committed to…

This sounds more than respect to me Mike. I know respect is great, but it sounds to me that these guys really LIKE you. They agonized over what to order because they didn't want to tempt you. They want you to continue to succeed. I can respect someone... my boss, my parents, my siblings... but maybe not like them. These…
