you need to get familiar with the info on the side of food boxes. Look up calories and try to figure out what you could be eating thats healthier than your choices before. For instance, if one cookie is 160 calories, think of other wholesome foods that are less in calories but taste better. For example, a small piece of…

NON ALCOHOLIC DRINKS Virgin Mary: Perhaps a Bloody Mary is usually your drink of preference? Well this Christmas you can opt for an alcohol-free Virgin Mary instead. To make this concoction you will need 300ml of tomato juice, a dash of Tabasco (optional), 2-3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce, a teaspoon of horseradish…

I made these last night and they turned out delicious! Basically, I took a pack of JENNIE-O (1-2lb) ground turkey. Used half of it and in a little olive oil, I sauted it. As soon as it started to change color, I added some minced garlic for flavor. I also added some taco seasoning (for chicken). Next, added crushed ground…

A great article for the holidays :) With a packed social calendar this holiday season, I know that a myriad of high-calorie, festive foods and drink choices are in my future. My biggest challenge is to not over-indulge in all of those yummy flavors, but to still enjoy some delightful treats. Here are some of the party…

Neutral-tasting canola oil allows the flavors of orange juice, honey, ginger, and chiles to shine. It can also withstand the heat of stir-frying in this tasty take on sweet-and-sour shrimp. Serve over rice or udon noodles. Yield 4 servings (serving size: 3/4 cup) Ingredients 1 1/2 pounds peeled and deveined large shrimp 1…

Hamburgers and Pork. Yuck! Even though I don't eat pork, it looks disgusting and greasy.

Oh gosh...I hear your pain. Oregon weather is no better. We are in the deep freeze. I don't think it will last too long though. Enjoy it while it lasts. Also, try walking around your neighborhood at night. There is this very "quiet" and calm feel to all that snow. It's simply lovely! Refreshing...

you look amazing. Thanks for sharing.

I tried this today and it was really yummy.

anyone seen it? Worth watching?

Look at it more as "fuel" for your body, especially if you are exercising. Your body needs those extra calories to keep functioning. Good luck and feel free to ask more!

From what I know from experience and other posters, yes you should be eating most of your exercise calories. The reason being that MFP has already created a "deficit" of calories in the program, when you don't eat your exercise calories, you are technically going to start putting your body thru "starvation" mode, which is…

Even though most of it was healthy (salads and some unhealthy stuff like cornbread). I still managed to be 800 calories above what I generally eat. Plus I got my monthly cycle today and I feel sick, bloated and ewwwwww...(know that feeling?) I did bad. I know I did. Has anybody has "feminine" days like this when you eat…

125lbs is still considered healthy for this height. I am the same and I intend being aorund where you are now. I wouldn't say lose weight but try to maintain it and log your foods for a healthy daily food intake. Exercise for health's sake and not to lose weight. G'luck!

I'm not sure about the shrimp. I know most people do some kind of garlic butter rub and that usually tastes real good with shrimp but you could def. try this recipe and see if it works.

I am sure it would be fine. It tastes amazing! I thought I was eating at a restaurant :) They say in the recipe to heat the left over marinade with some white wine and make a glaze to pour over. I didn't do that.
