As a mom, I'd say to try to let her know that you want to make healthier food choices but not in a way that puts down the food she normally brings home. (Edit: I take that back. You can put down the food, just don't go negative on her). Go shopping with her if you can or ask her to pick up specific things. ie., Mom, can…

Hey! Burqueno here! :)

Awesome job!!

Yes, my son likes going. My daughter doesn't. I've been there and everyone is really nice but I have issues with some of the things that they teach. I think it's really a social thing for him and he has a lot of fun but I think if he became a Christian and was happy with it then I would be happy for him.

Thanks. I have 4 great kids. :)

I don't mean to pull a "whoa is me." It's important to me that I maintain a good relationship with my neighbors and also feel good about how I'm raising my own family. I don't know many nonreligious people in life so I need some occasional reassurance. but I do have some other firstworldproblems is you wanna hear about…

No, not true. Attending church does not make you immune to these types of problems.

Thanks, everyone, for giving me a lot to think about. I do believe that my kids are their own people who need to learn from their own experiences. My mom, the Buddhist, always let me go to church with my friends but I seem to have forgotten about that. I've been to the church and have sat in on sermons. I was curious, of…

He loves going! It's the Wednesday night church where they have activities for the kids.

You're right, this is a lot of what's bothering me about the whole situation. I let him leave but the fact that they didn't ask me before they showed up at the door was bothersome.

It's just the little ones that say these things about hell to my little ones. I don't blame them. They take everything so literally.
-
Congrats. You look fantastic!!

In a perfect world, maybe. When you have out of control hormones and morning sickness to the point of desperation, the voice of reason hardly stands a chance. My body has been through a lot, gaining 50-60# with each pregnancy. I wouldn't worry so much about the pregnancy weight as I would about my everyday lifestyle.

The worst part of my job is that it's lonely. I work from home.

You look fabulous! Thanks for posting!

Dr. Oz is not an idiot. He's a brilliant con artist! Everything else you said is good.

I like that part about sleep. :)

I like it.

Good for you! It sounds like you are very active! There is a group on here called "In place of a road map" or IPOARM that promotes strength exercise, eating and reaching your goals. I think you would like it. I will try to find the link for you but in the meantime feel free to add me. HelloitsDan and Heybales are good…

Good thread with good tips. I agree that long and loud conversations on the phone are a no no but fiddling with your phone is okay. I use mine to log reps and weights.

I do both but I do prefer going to the gym. I also have a lot of distractions (computer, kids, mom, laundry). It really depends on you. There are so many great resources at home workouts.

Oikos vanilla is my favorite. I like most flavors of greek gods too. I'm just judging on the taste since I have no idea how they compare in nutritional value.

Kohls has Aisics.

Wow, thanks so much for sharing your amazing transformation! You look beautiful!

I highly recommend this book, Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. It really changed the way I think about money and how I use it. Last year, I told one of my good friends about it. She homeschools 4 kids and her husband works for waste management, first as a trashman, and is working his way up. She doesn't call her family the…

I'm 5'9" too. No, success story for me yet but you can add me. Hope to hit my goal by summer!

My workouts can be interrupted at anytime cause I have little kids so I try to get it done quick. When I hop on my elliptical, I don't use any entertainment. It's torture to watch the clock but I get a better calorie burn if I focus on the speed and intervals. Someday, I would like to get and Iphone and headphones for when…
